Stanford Torus Space Colony v1.0

File Description:
What will future space colonization realistically look like? What is it like to approach a rotating station almost 2km in diameter? The Stanford Torus is based on a design created during a 10 week program in 1975 held at NASA’s Ames Research Center and Stanford University. The project participants considered how to create a practicable permanent colony in space using existing technology at minimum cost. The habitat is over 1800m in diameter and spins at 1 rpm to provide 1g of pseudo-gravity. Package includes a scenario to fly from the ISS up to a GEO rendez-vous with Stanford, as well as documentation on the station itself. I am looking for a texture artist to do the station justice, since my textures are pretty sad. Please contact me at [email protected] if you are interested. INSTALLATION: You need Vinka's spacecraft.dll to use this add-on. A link is provided in the documentation. 1. Unzip files into your Orbiter directory, preserving the directory structure in the zipfile. 2. Load up the Stanford scenario in the Stanford directory in the Orbiter start window. 3. Enjoy the trip!

XFCS 1.5 (Fly By Wire-plugin)

File Description:
XFCS simulates fly-by-wire control of combat aircraft. See readme.pdf for indepth description. News in version 1.5 - XFCS now works with X-Plane's autopilot. All autopilot commands are exectuted by the FCS control laws, resulting in excellent autopilot accuracy and seemless integration. - Improved pitch response in AoA-demand mode. - AoA-demand mode blends AoA and speed data, making it easier to control speed and glideslope with power adjustments. - AoA-feedback in G-demand mode: Flying above 15 degrees angle of attack requires light stick backpressure. Many real control systems work this way. - Inverted flight now requires slight forward stick pressure. A lot of pilots feel more at home with this behaviour and many real FCS�s have it. - �Mach bucket� is now simulated. This is a common way to handle transsonic pitch buffeting. Max load factor is decreased by 2 G�s in the Mach .95 - 1.1 range. - XFCS should now run faster on low end computers, having less effect on frame rate. - Transition from ground mode to flight mode now follows pitch attitude instead of airspeed. This works better for most designs.

PMDG Livery AutoInstaller v1.0.2

File Description:

Function; Do you rebuild your FS9 installation several times a year and/or frequently reinstall PMDG Official Livery executables downloaded from their website? Do you dread the greater than 500 "Next" button clicks it takes to install all thier official liveries? I do (did) until today. I learned "AutoIT" scripting language today and put this wrapper utility together to completely automate the task of installing any or all of the PMDG Livery executables. I used this utility to install all liveries for all the models listed below in about 12 minutes with about 10 clicks this evening. (my mouse-finger was most greatful).

Display_Smoke_ Cntrl_ Gauge

File Description:
This simple gauge is for the Alphasim T6 Harvard/Texan airplane (airplane package required), design to stop the 3 display smoke effects from coming on when the lights are first turned on from the spot view mode. Since both the Harvard or Texan are not using the Taxi lights, this gauge works based on the state of the Taxi light bool. When you first turn on all lights via the "L" key from the keyboard, the on state of the Taxi lights in turn, turns off the 3 Display Smoke Switches, then after a 2 second delay the Taxi lights are reset to the off state again, ready for the next cycle of the keyboard "L" key. Just want to reiterate, this is not a auto display smoke gauge in the sense, this is an invisible gauge (no visual references) that just stops the 3 display smoke switches from being turned on with the lights, so you don't get that big ball of colored smoke around the airplane when in "spot view" mode, and you turn the lights on via the "L" key on the keyboard. Note: Has not been verified in FSX, but should work though!

Milk Wagon Boeing B-17G

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) for the Donationware B-17G Late from FighterTown Design Group. You can get it here for a great price!! www.donationware.net Thank you FDG for providing this great plane!! Special thanks go to Jarink, who is a repainter in IL-2/PF. Jarink was kind enough to send me his layered photoshop files of the Noseart that I used for these repaints. I also used his repaints as a guide for my repaints. This texture represents "Milk Wagon" from the 708th Bomb Squadron, 447th Bomb Group. Milk Wagon was the top mission-flying plane in the 3rd Air Division with 129 missions flown. Mr. August Altese, navigator on the James Young crew, tells of the origins of the aircraft's name: "Our first mission was June 21st 1944 to Berlin. When we returned to base we were asked what we thought of our first mission out of England as compared to the missions that we had flown out of Italy with the 15th AF. We replied it was a milk run, and named our ship the Milk Wagon and indicated each mission flown with a milk bottle."

Flight to Area 61

File Description:
Captain Igor Kringbrinsky of the "Special Air Service" will be piloting flight XX-C4 to " Special Area-61" better known to pilots as " No-whereland". As usual he is being moved to the base at the Ust-Kamenogorsk Airport (UASK) three days before the flight. Using an old ANT-2 he will carry electronic supplies(????) and will also pickup on the way to the different locations (To be known only before the flight) special personnel that work in these places and who are coming out for vacations. As co-pilot you will have to check the plane before the flight and since on this flight you are to be rated, previous to becoming pilot-in-command for future flights, you will do all take offs and landings.---Carefully study the maps given to you for the " secret" locations you will land before you reach Area 61. These "locations" may be on "Roadways", mountains, valleys and even large airports----- Sorry to say, the Weather this time of the year is "stormy and rain, thunder and high winds may be expected....This is a hard Mission.

Lufthansa Boeing 737-230 'Landshut'

File Description:
TinMouse II Project Boeing 737-230ADV 'Landshut' D-ABCE Repaint of Lufthansa's Boeing 737-230 'Landshut', Reg. D-ABCE, c/n 20254/230. This aircraft was hijacked by palestine terrorists in October 1977 as LH181 on its way from Palma de Mallorca to Frankfurt/M. The pilot in command, Juergen Schumann, was shot aboard at Aden airport. After 5 days crew and passengers were freed by the GSG-9 at Mogadischu airport. After 2 months of retirement, the second officer Juergen Vietor returned back into LH service; his first flight took him aboard the 'Landshut' which continued service for Lufthansa until 1985. She is still in service as PT-MTB for TAF Linhas Areas and she is used for cargo flights... All textures in DXT3-format; this package contains textures only; you need the TinMouse II aircraft. Chicago Midway Airport V2

File Description:
This is my second version of Chicago Midway Airport in Chicago IL for FSX. This version was created with Airport Design Editor 1.30, which was designed exclusively for use with FSX. The following improvements have been made: 1. All commercial and GA aircraft will park at their assigned spots. All gates for all airlines are included. 2. The vehicle paths have been redesigned, which should eliminate the problem of airport vehicles using taxiways, which can cause taxiing airplanes to come to a standstill and cause traffic to back up. 3. When in tower view, the view will be from the roof of the control tower, thanks to Airport Design Editor. 4. Crosswind runways have been activated, which will open more runways to airline traffic. This is an optional feature, and will be explained in the Readme file. 5. Several fuel trucks have been added, and should serve departing aircraft quickly. 6. Settings have been changed in ADE so that all jetways will display as long as Scenery Density in FSX is set at Normal or higher. Please be aware that this scenery is for use with FSX only. It will not work with FS9.
