This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the colors of N7777G of Fly Alaska. N7777G was a L749 that first flew with KLM as PH-TET. It flew with Wien Alaskan Airlines between 1964 and 1968 before going to Fly Alaska. In 1973 it was used by the Rolling Stones for their Far East Tour. It then went to Lanzair and was abandoned in Dublin in 1974. It has been on display in the Science Museum at Wroughton since 1983. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

| KLM Constellation - 1951 inaugural flight to Tokyo |

File Description:
On September 8, 1951 the peace documents between Japan and the Allies were signed. In the same year, KLM established a regular service between Amsterdam and Tokyo. The exact date of the inaugural flight is unknown, but the route to Tokyo is exact. Download and install the beautiful FSDZigns Lockheed 049A Constellation (filename: fsdzl049a_v1.zip) and enjoy! This file includes Connie's KLM version, PH-TAU ("Utrecht"), which is actually the aircraft that made this inaugural flight. (re-upload)

| Lockheed L-049 Constellation (G-ANUR) Euravia |

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the colors of L749 G-ANUR of Euravia. It was built in 1947 with c/n 2565 and was first operated by Qantas as VH-EAB. Qantas sold it to BOAC, who registered it as G-ANUR in 1955. It went to Skyways in 1959, and when Skyways was taken over by Euravia in 1962, it was repainted in 1963 in the colors of this repaint. It went to the US in 1967, becoming N1949 and then to Uruguay as CX-BHC. It was last seen in Montevideo, and is believed to have been scrapped in 1970 after its operator, Aerolineas Uruguayas, went bankrupt. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

Textures for the Lockheed L-049 Constellation by the team Roland Berger, Volker Boehme, Manfred Jahn, Luis Pallas, Bill Tyne and Stefan Werner. Repaint by Manfred Meyer.
The company Nevada Airmotive bought TWA's L-049 fleet in 1962 for lease and/or resell them. But only fife of the 25 Constellations found new operators .
One of these aircrafts was c/n 2027, built 1945 for TWA, reg. NC86506 and named "Star of Dublin Sky Chief". Sold to Nevada Airmotive in 1962 and leased to ASA Intl. and 1963 to Paradise AL. After Paradise grounded in 1964, the aircraft was stored at Burbank and in 1966 bought by Herman R. "Fish" Salmon, Lockheed's chief test pilot. He founded the "Aerospace Travelers" Travel Cluband and named the Constellation "Rosa". However the aircraft was very seldom used and in 1972/73 scrapped at Burbank.

File Description:
This is repaint of American Overseas Airlines Lockheed L-049. American Overseas Airline(AOA)s was subsidiary airlines of American Airlines operating International Routes. 7 were ordered by AOA, and used mainly to United Kingdom, Germany, and Scandinavian Routes.
NC90923 "Flagship Great Britain" (later Flagship Scotland) was delivered to AOA in Mar.26, 1946 and is believed to be first AOA Connie at London Heathrow May 31st, 1946. As the company merged with Pan American World Airways in 1950. It was sold to PAA, later to Delta AIrlines (1956) and to American Flyer Airlines(1960). You'll need Manfred Jahn's L-749 to use this repaint.

PAA Clipper Undaunted. N88855, Lockheed L-049 Constellation, Clipper Invincible, notes: C/n 2055, delivered to Pan Am on 22 April 1946. This Connie also carried the title Clipper Undaunted. TEXTURES ONLY. You need a legal copy of the WOS_L049 by A2A. "Pan American World Airways, known from its founding until 1950 as Pan American Airways[1] and commonly known as Pan Am, was the principal and largest international air carrier in the United States from 1927 until its collapse on December 4, 1991. Founded in 1927 as a scheduled air mail and passenger service operating between Key West, Florida, and Havana, Cuba, the airline became a major company credited with many innovations that shaped the international airline industry, including the widespread use of jet aircraft, jumbo jets, and computerized reservation systems. It was also a founding member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the global airline industry association.[3] Identified by its blue globe logo ("The Blue Meatball"), the use of the word "Clipper" in aircraft names and call signs, and the white pilot uniform caps, the airline was a cultural icon of the 20th century. In an era dominated by flag carriers that were wholly or majority government-owned, it was also the unofficial overseas flag carrier of the United States. Lockheed L-1049E-55-102 (c/n 4572) 'N5172V' was delivered on April 1955 to Northwest Orient Airlines and was used until 1957. Based on original textures by Manfred Jahn, this texture set requires the great L-1049G Super Constellation package available in the Avsim file library (l1049g.zip). Installation instructions are included.
