PTAM - Mokapu - Oahu, Hawaii, USA

File Description:
PTAM is quite a large airport located in beautiful Mokapu, on O'ahu in Hawaii, just over the mountains from Honolulu. It was designed to be a universal testing ground for new aircraft or flight training since the facilities are more than prepared for any scenario. From the varying length runways, full instrument approaches and navigational beacons, to the impressive nearby terrain, PTAM replaces the completely closed and unused airbase XBEL, or Bellows AFB. If you were to visit Bellows AFB in real life today you wouldn't find much except some old runways with plants poking through, some sporadic housing, a tennis court (?!), and a nearby golf course (as per Google Imagery circa late 2011). The flat land that was once used for an airbase combined with beautiful mountains and beaches makes this a prime location for new airport!

EKAE - Aero Island - Denmark ** Ver.1**

File Description:
Aero is a small island situatet in the area south of Funen among many other small islands. This Area is only a short flight away from Northern Germany and called "The Danish South Funen Archepelago". The strip has a 590x30m grass Runway, and is approved for VMC day and VFR night operations. I tried to emulate the character of Aero as well as possible using existing standard objects in combination with some new build objects like the main building. The scenery includes a photo background covering alls four seasons and some night textures. However, many smaller Objects, like people were taken from a popular freeware library for whose use I got the friendly permission of the autor. FS2002 Val-U-Prop Douglas DC-4M Canadair Val-U-Prop has now acquired a DC-4 - and it's a special aircraft. Based on the original work of Tom Gibson and Harry Follas, this is a DC-4M Canadair. It features Merlin engines, a pressurized cabin, and is fully animated, with FS2002 strobe/nav/beacon/landing lights added. The superb flight dynamics of Brian Horsey insure an easy to fly and land aircraft, and the spot and tower view frame rates are the highest you will find anywhere. Aircraft will work in FS2000 as well. This package includes the panel Dc4jcuv2.zip, and the two together comprise a combination that makes Val-U-Prop truly the airline where "No job is too small; No fee too large." Alpha Centuri Enhancement Addon 1

File Description:
Updated correction. An enhancement package for the Alpha Centuri addon for Orbiter. Included in this enhancement pack are full color planetary and moon maps for most of the systems in the Alpha Centuri system, 3 new planets, a correction to orbital data for planet Alpha7, an updated alpha_centuri.cfg file, including the fix from the patch, and a new base on Alpha2a with accompianing new scenareo. Planet 3 now works! It is a Venus type of moon 2.5 AU away from the star. The crash to desktop when you exit Orbiter is no more. I desided to release future updates like this, as a numbered enhancement pack instead of re-releasing the entire 5 meg system. Each enhancement pack will be numbered numerically if and when I do a new update. Any future updates will require all past enhancement packs installed.

Val-U-Prop VA: Ernest K. Gann's 1939 Route

File Description:
Taken from the pages of "Fate is the Hunter" this is Route AM-21 that Ernest K. Gann flew as a co-pilot and pilot in DC-2's and DC-3's in 1938-1940. Included are FS2002 ATC Flight Planner legs for the flight, as well as a text file with all headings, NAVAIDS, approaches and some life-saving tips for flying the route in bad weather. This can be used in any version of FS. Can be flown ATC or as a VOR flight with ILS's, or even as an NDB-only flight in keeping with the period. This is a multi-stop flight: Newark to Wilkes-Barre; to Syracuse; to Rochester; Buffalo; Erie, and finally to Cleveland. Each leg has a separate Flight Planner leg. An official Val-U-Prop VA flight.

ATR 42-500

File Description:
This archive contains aircraft sound files and configuration data to model the ATR 42-500 Series. FS2002 and FS2004 compatible. I created this sound pack to address the fact that many of the default sounds are too "buzzy." While buzzing may be what you hear as an observer or even a passenger, the cockpit has a very different sound environment. This project was designed to be a sound pack for use with an ATR 42-500, although I must say that I am also using it for my Dash series. The choice is up to you... installation is easy and can be reversed with a simple procedure if you don't like the effect. All sounds were mixed and compiled for smoothness, resolution, clarity, and timbre. I think you will find the effect quite pleasing and a rather welcome improvement.

Active ILS - KDEN

File Description:
As most know initiating the ILS at certain airports for AI Traffic is not a function at this time when using AFCAD2. If you add a new ILS runway to an airport such as KDEN (Denver International Airport 16R/34L) only the user aircraft can use this runway when visibility falls below 3 miles. ATC will no longer use this runway for AI Traffic because FS9 sees it as a visual runway and will now vector your AI Traffic to a FS9 stock ILS runway. This file adds all NAVAIDS for making 16R/34L a Precision Instrument Runway by adding all the radar fixes for both the ILS approach portion and the proper missed approach procedures, altitudes and intersections as per current published plates. All AI Aircraft will now continue to use 16R/34L when Airport conditions are less than 3 miles.

Active AirSource v3.27 Full Install

File Description:
Active AirSource (AAS) is a small stand-alone program that runs while you fly Microsoft Flight Simulator (FS2000, FS2002, FS2004). It records and sends data from Flight Simulator directly to the AirSource website (http://air-source.us) via the use of FSUIPC module and Microsoft's MSINET.dll. This functionality will allow pilots to fly and be seen on the Active AirSource flight boards. In addition, pilots will be able to increase their v-salary by filing their flights as "AAS Certified", since flights are verified through the program as "authentic flight time". Active AirSource (or AAS) runs in either multiplayer OR single player mode in Flight Simulator.
