Boeing F/A-18E Hornet VF-201 Hunters

File Description:
These are textures only and are applied to Daisuke Yamamoto's Boeing F/A-18E, filename: fa18e_sh.zip; available at http://www.flightsim.com "or" filename: fa18esh3_138105.zip; Avsim library. This is the CAG version of the bird. VFA-201 Hunters fly the F/A-18A+ version of the Hornet now and this paint scheme was originally applied to that model Hornet. Upon transitioning to the F/A-18 from F-14A Tomcats the Hunters dropped the state of Texas insignia that they wore on their Tomcats and re-adopted their earlier chevron insignia that now adorns their Hornets. For the first time in 50 years, an entire Naval Reserve strike fighter squadron was called up for active duty over Iraq. The Hunters flew more than 1,000 sorties off of the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT, then returned home to Ft. Worth NAS, JRB, in Texas. I wish to thank Daisuke Yamamoto and Hiroaki Kubota for providing us with such a fine model of this aircraft and their kind permission to repaint it. These are 32-bit textures with no mip-maps to preserve image clarity.

F/A-18E Super Hornet Maximum Speed Update

File Description:
The awesome F/A-18E Super Hornet from KBT and Daisuke is perfect. It is extremely realistic. The only problem was the fact that the plane could not reach Mach 1.8+. I simply modified the .air file in one simple entry, making the plane realistic also about speed. At 36000 ft, the plane now reaches Mach 0.9 witHout reheat, exceed Mach 1 with reheat and reaches, after almost eight minutes, Mach 1.8+. I think it is a needed update for this fantastic fighter that makes the whole project totally realistic.

A-1H MiG Killers Missions and Bonus Skin

File Description:
A-1H MiG killers is a package of missions with a matching skin. To fully use this package, you need the following: 1. SFP1 with SP2 installed. 2. DigitalOverload's final release: A-1H Version 4.0a addon aircraft. 3. Flyable MiG-17 mod. 4. Gephard's DRV terrain and/or KB's SEA terrain. The missions recreate two historical encounters. Both encounters represent the only MiG kills made by A-1Hs in Vietnam. Each encounter is covered by multiple missions covering both sides. The skin is an improvement of Marcelo's outstanding VietnamNavyGrey skin that comes with the A-1H addon, which happens to be the VA-176 MiG killers of the second encounter.

A-1H Skyraider Version 4.0a (Corrected Damage TGAs)

File Description:
The original pack did not get the transparency correct for the damage tgas. To fix this problem, replace the originals with these files. Thanks to JSF_Aggie for taking the time to correct the problem :)

A-1H Skyraider Version 4.0c Alternative INI Files

File Description:
Monty's model is great. Digital Overload worked really hard on the ini files as well. But the A-1H V4.0a release still has many problems. I am offering my own version 4.0c ini files (this solves the prop issue with the 4.0b ini files). These ini files offer some nice alternatives to the 4.0a files: The cockpit is unfinished but more importantly has transparency issues with the glass. The problem is compounded when you try to see through the gunsight, canopy, and propellor tga files. So I replaced the unfinished cockpit with the stock A-4B cockpit. It is very similar and has almost identical functionality. It is also very easy to see through the glass and even targets through the gunsight. Since the prop is visible again, I have provided a more transparent version of the original prop tga file. The lod table has been vastly simplified to reflect the fact that there are only two lod files. The A-1H has no radar, so the erroneous line giving it one has been deleted.

A-4E, VA-86, Sidewinders, USS Independence, 1965

File Description:
This is a repaint of RAZBAM's excellent A-4E. These textures represent an A-4E of VA-86, Sidewinders, on the USS Independence in 1965. In the real world this squadron transitioned to A7s in February, 1967, This aircraft was subsequently assigned to VMA-311. On 9/11/1970 this aircraft was brought down by ground fire and the pilot, 1Lt. B. H. Passmeyer, USMC , was KIA. THESE ARE TEXTURES ONLY! You need the RAZBAM "The Skyhawks Volume 2" payware package.

Trans Canada Airlines Lockheed L-10 A "1937"

File Description:
These are textures only, to be used with FSDesign Berlin's Electra. I suggest that if you do not have the new air file, you do so from FSDesign's website. The plane pictured in these textures, is currently on display at the Winnepeg Intl. Airport, Canada. It is one of the few remaining Lockheed Electras still in flying condition.
