File Description:
(PAFA - PABR) (486 NM) (Heavy Cargo Run)____Situation Orientation (Fictional) : Twice a year, (GREEN SOLUTIONS) a joint US-UN funded scientific research firm, based in Anchorage Alaska, charters a freighter jet to make a cargo run to (Barrow/Alaska (PABR)) located near the beaufort sea / Arctic ocean, where one of the firm's major research facilities is located. For the September run, it has been arranged that the flight will make a stop over at Fairbanks International Airport- Alaska (PAFA) to pick up additional cargo that a supplier working with the firm shipped to Fairbanks by train. As this run is a pre-winter run, the cargo is heavy and the cargo company have allocated a large freighter ship to handle the heavy cargo load. The aircraft arrived into Anchorage inbound from South America early this morning and departed Anchorage at 11:00 am. It arrived PAFA on time and is loading the additional cargo at a designated hanger. The flight was shedualedto depart to Barrow at 2:30 pm butfreighter paperwork and administrative complexities have caused a two and a half hour delay. Everyone, including you,is frustrated and anxious to get moving. Finaly, ground crews inform you that you will be ready to go in 10 ____Note : Although no significant malfunctions where logged during the first leg of the flight, the aircraft's maintenence logs indicate that during its Panama City departure,the crew logged an abnormalylow climb attitude after take off. However, due to compressed schedual timetables, maintenance operations in Anchorage decided that maintenance would be done after it returned from its charter flight and have given it a green light. As first officer, the captain has instructed you to watch that closley as he has given you control of this leg.

Nick's AI Jet Exhaust With Control Gauge

File Description:
Hanging around the airport watching the A-I traffic and chasing A-I jet aircraft just got a little more interesting. Enjoy watching your entire A-I jet fleet as they display engine heat shimmer effects -after- push-back from the terminal and during taxi to the active runway. All the A-I traffic take off displaying a lite, expanding, frame-rate friendly and nicely scaled high throttle heat/exhaust trail FX which remain with the A-I aircraft during its entire flight. To top off the show, the A-I aircraft that are throttled down and landing display no exhaust from the engines! This package also comes with a gauge that allows pilot throttle control of the taxi heat shimmer/full-throttle exhaust FX for the jet aircraft being flown in the sim by the user. This package does NOT interfere with the logo, taxi or wing lights of any aircraft and comes with 5 all new exhaust effects files which can be applied to just about any size private, commercial or military jet. It requires editing/adding lines in the aircraft.cfg and panel.cfg files. The README files include very complete and comprehensive instructions including a quick and easy copy/paste file for all the Microsoft jet aircraft and tutorial on making custom gauges from the one provided. This package completely replaces my original *Nick's Jet Smoke* package and any/all updates for it. By Nick Needham

The sheer amount of single files (more than 80.000!) always kept me from working on them, but then I found a way to batch process them, which took a lot of workload from me. However, due to the nature of these files and because almost every different voice set had a different "base-sound" as well, it was still required to fine tune the parameters for every single voice set, which turned out to be a lot more work than expected/feared. Once started I didn't want to give up half way down the road, so after many hours I finally had a complete set with a more than satisfying result. By installing these Version 2 remastered voice sets, ATC will now sound almost as the prerecorded, real chatter files, meaning that you will have to listen much more carefully now in order to hear messages that are directed to you. All voices now feature a "real" ATC sound, making RC4 immersive as never before. All included voice sets have also been increased in playback speed (new in this version!), allowing for a much more natural and professional flow. This new version also contains two remastered pilot voice sets that now feature a real "intercom" sound effect different from the VHF sound effect added to the controller voices.
