CYXE - John G. Diefenbaker International Airport / Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
This airport update was made with the latest version of ADE (Airport Design Editor) and made for FSX as a replacement for the stock (default) airport. I found that most stock airports in FSX lack a decent amount of character and realism and this area in particular was dreadful! The stock airport was rather inaccurate. I've made several additions to the airport which are listed below. All these enchancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects. I've used satellite images, terminal photos and maps throughout the whole process so building locations are as accurate as possible. Happy landings in the beautiful Canada!

Repaint of the PMDG 737-800 NGXu in the livery of Jet2.com. This aircraft is named 'Jet2Ibiza' and has a special decal on the nose. This livery is based on real world photos of the aircraft and you'll notice details such as custom slide warning decals on the doors, polished chrome engine intake and wing leading edge, Red Cabin Lighting, Jet2 Specific markings including Airbridge and Cargo Hold. This folder contains a repaint for the DeHavilland DH98 Mosquito by Dave Garwood, in the colors of DZ546, a B Mk.IV that flew with No.618 Squadron in the summer of 1945. It was built in early 1943 and allocated to 618 Squadron. It was converted for 'Highball' missions in 1944. Highball was the codename of special spherical bouncing bombs to be used for antishipping attacks. The conversion included Merlin 24 motors, a four bladed prop, an arrester hook, new windscreen and armour plating. With the collapse of the German threat, 618 was transferred to Australia in october 1944, but no suitable role was found for the squadron, which was disbanded at RAAF Narromine in july 1945.
The Mosquitos were later sold and DZ546 was bought by Ken & Rob Bowman of Dunedoo, who dismantled it with the help of a chainsaw. Parts of the aircraft are currently being used in the restoration of a Mosquito in New Zealand. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Dave Garwood.

First repaint I've made for the QW 787, fictional livery in tribute to our amazing heroes at the NHS, especially at this difficult time. Whilst most of us stay home and sim, it's nice to fly and think of those putting their lives at risk for us right now. Lets keep the NHS flying high and support them! Requires the payware qualitywings 787-8. A manual version of the install is included in case qwl file doesn't work correctly. Enjoy and remember - stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives!
