Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 8

File Description:
Can a Boeing 777-300 do that? Find out if you can in The Florida Keys. Ahhhhhhh, for the first time ever you'll notice a default AI DC3 in FS2004. Where? Havana, Cuba. Look for it before departing the gate area. With a couple of United States stops behind us, its on towards the hot destination of spring break in Cancun, Mexico. Now in Central America, we venture to an airfield with no markings or lights whatsoever. Good thing it was a daytime landing. Looking at my charts, we may have some dicey approaches upcoming for Central America. I hope the weather is above IFR conditions during our operations there. Once we complete the many legs in Central America, its back to the USA before heading up towards Canada and Greenland.

File Description:
Morning and evening flights are so exciting. Hope you enjoy em this time around. Who said anything about grass taxiways in FS2004? Oh well, found some around. You will not be disappointed with some beautiful overcast skies and the distant boomers while making your rounds. Make sure you're not late in braking your 777 after tochdown at some of the fields. Still in one piece, I am. The last leg brings you to Mexico City. I enjoyed landing at MMMX with another aircraft cleared for 5L while I was cleared for 5R. Just plain sweet in FS2004. Cool, we got a stop in Baja, California coming up.

With a little bit of gambling in Vegas, partying it up accross the border Tijuana, relaxing in the cool climes of San Diego, star searching in LA, not leaving your heart in San Francisco and of course a visit to Reno what else can you expect from living it up with a plane load of high rollers. This pack takes you through the Northwestern parts of the USA including Salt Lake City, Boise, Portland, Seattle, Montana and more. Who can believe it that you have flown 25,917 once you land in KFSD. The upcoming flight plan takes us Southeast through the middle of the USA and heading down towards the Gulf States back to the East Coast.

File Description:
This ain't your grandma adventure as this pack will attest. At least I tried but I didn't see any UFO flying around Roswell, New Mexico. Oh well! I know of a Chihuahua dog but there is a place in Mexico called Chihuahua. Go figure-which came first? You will see the most impressive sunset yet in this HRW adventure as you head to Phoenix. Tiger anyone? Get your military gear to experience flying the Typhoon and F16 (see readme for files). You will not be disappointed as you burst past Mach 1 or fly inverted while cruising over the Grand Canyon. It keeps getting better. File Description:
With a plane full of passengers you takeoff in Europe (UK, Norway, Denmark and Sweden). There is a mix of jet aircraft to handle your hops. The worst weather yet? At least the heaviest snowstorm I can recall! I still can’t get used to landing in low visibility at unfamiliar airfields. The only newbie to this pack is the Posky Airbus 333. The last leg is all about finesse – watch your descent rate, speed and use butter smooth handling of the stick as you bring your bird back to terra firma. 257 takeoffs/landings. 41,538 behind us once you’re done.

Trans World Airlines Convair CV-880 Pack

File Description:
While the Convair 880 fleet only wore one livery during its service at Trans World Airlines, there were many variations. Included in this package are the major variations that existed between 1961 and 1972, as well as two fake repaints in the TWA livery circa 1980 and 2000. Included in these repaints is also the infamous "grey ghost" plane, N8945H. Leased from Northeast Airlines, instead of striping the yellowbird livery, TWA simply painted the normally bare metal areas and wings grey. However, they forgot to remove the "Thank You for Flying Northeast" that was painted on the undersides of the spoilers until after a few passengers mentioned seeing the message.

The Airbus 310 and 320 rule this pack. Some light snow showers gets things hopping to Roros airport. The scenery is nothing short of spectacular if you can see it of course. File Description:
The first leg of this pack is quite interesting. While it should take a short time to complete the heavy winds aloft really make your 777 work for every mile and stretch out the duration of the flight. Run your engines to the max as you burn as much fuel as you wish since you're not paying for it. Introduced in this pack is the MelJet 777ER and Harald Nehring Airbus 310. Pay attention to your takeoffs and landings. Some runways seem rather short for the heavies. Be careful! By the time you are done you should be in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 17

File Description:
Experience Cajun country as you pilot for the first time the Cessna Citation II. This pack also features more Cessna with the likes of the 182s as well as the Amphibian. Yes, another first in the HRW Adventure is tackling some water landings. Not fair! That looks like a puddle more than a small body of water. Don't overshoot! If you know how to ground hover flying the Bell Helicopter should be a breeze. It's a short 18-mile hop to New Orleans before heading to KMGM. In the next pack, our map shows us that we make our last 2 stops in Florida before zig-zagging up the coast. Cool, we are also going to fly the Bermuda Triangle using a military jet. Mach anyone? Our flying time will zoom by in the upcoming pack. Up for a good mystery in Bermuda?
