| Martin's Air Charter "1964" Douglas C-54B |

On 12 June 1962 the four years young Dutch charter company Martin's Air Charter (MAC), proud owner of two de Havilland DH-104 Dove and two Douglas C-47 ("DC-3") aircraft, welcomed at its Amsterdam homebase the flagship of the fleet: the Douglas C-54B ("DC-4") PH-MAE. Until that moment the largest aircraft of MAC, whose main activities were on the IT-charters and ad-hoc cargo transport, were C-47 PH-MAA which was limited to the transport of max. 32 passengers and C-47 PH-MAB which had a large freight door and could transport a maximum of 3 tons payload. C-54B PH-MAE was a huge improvement since it could transport 70 passengers or 7 tons payload. The other great advantage being it range (medium distance). It soon became a very popular aircraft. With the arrival of the larger Douglas DC-6A combiplane PH-MAM in 1966, the days of PH-MAE with MAC were numbered. The C-54B was sold to the German operator Allgemeine Lufttransport All-Air. Around the same time Martin's Air Charter had changed its name into Martinair Holland and as such entered the turboprop and jet age. These are textures only. You will need Jens B. | Douglas C-54 NGAT NL-302 |

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Douglas C-54 / DC-4 by Flight Replicas. It shows Douglas C-54A NL-302 of the Netherlands Government Air Transport, 1945. This was originally 42-72274 of the USAAF, which was bought by the Dutch Government in 1945 in a batch of 14 C-54's. These were converted to carry passengers. Although the aircraft were carrying military markings, they were in fact carrying passengers for KLM, among others to the Dutch East Indies. Since civilian aircraft were not always permitted to fly along this route immediately after the war they wore military paint. In 1947 all aircraft were transferred to the KLM and NL-302 became PH-TAD. It later flew with several European companies with registration F-BDRJ, before being scrapped in 1965. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Flight Replicas.

File Description:
This is a repaint for the Shockwave World War II Fighters P-51D Mustang, depicting "WD-P Rita Marie" a P-51 flown by Major Robert Ackerley of the 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, based in Debden, UK. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on textures by Milan Zejdlik. This repaint works in FS2004 as well, as do my other repaints of the 335th.
