Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-6 - repainted by Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-6 base pack with model, sound and panel from the website calclassic.com.
These textures depict HC-ARK "El Pinguino" (c/n 42865) of Americana de Aviacion. This Ecuadorian Company leased and later bought this plane in 1968 and used it, among others, for flights to the Galapagos Islands.
This DC-6 was the 13. built and originally delivered 1947 to American Airlines as "Flagship Texas" renamed later "Flagship South Carolina". American AL sold her 1960 to Aerolineas Peruanas as OB-OAD-545. From 1964 onwards she was in the hands of some U.S.leasing companies and goes then to Americana of Ecuador. They used the plane until 1970 and then it was broken up at Quito after 1975.
The Lettering "DC-6 EQUIPADO CON RADAR" should be on the nose wheel doors, but unfortunately this is not possible at this FS model. So I put the text on the lower bow near the nose wheel bay.

Douglas DC-3-194B Viewmaster of Airlines of New South Wales, Australia. VH-ANR had a long and interesting history. It was originally delivered to the Netherlands for KLM. Based on Jan Visser's legendary DC-3 model for FS2000, updated for FS2002, this model includes transparent Viewmaster windows, nightlighting, lit 3D interior with opening passenger door, boarding ladder and other details. Includes FS2002 lights fix by Paul Pridwales. Default panel and sound. Repaint by Mark Beaumont.

This DC-3 (C47A-50-DL) was one of several ex-USAAF aircraft bought and operated by Ansett ANA in cargo configuration. Based on Jan Visser's legendary DC-3 model for FS2000, updated for FS2002, this model includes transparent cabin windows, nightlighting, lit 3D interior with opening cargo doors, boarding ladder, cargo both inside and outside the aircraft and other details. This distinctive DC-3 (C-47-DL, 6108 USAAF 41-19465, delivered Dec. 1942) was used by Australian entertainer Garry McDonald, aka 'Norman Gunston', during a national tour in the late 1970's. Based on Jan Visser's legendary DC-3 model for FS2000, updated for FS2002, this model includes transparent cockpit and cabin windows, nightlighting, lit 3D interior with opening passenger door, boarding ladder and other details. PSA of San Diego, California, an intrastate carrier, operated several DC-4s, ex-Capital Airlines in the mid 1950s between the San Francisco Bay Area and southern California.

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) of Greg Pepper's and Tom Gibson's DC-6. You must have the original aircraft to use these textures. The original aircraft is available at www.Calclassic.com. This represents British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines DC-6 VH-BPF as it would have appeared circa 1950. This aircraft was ordered by SAS but was delivered new to BCPA in 1948. It served with BCPA until 1954. It was built in an overwater sleeper configuration.

Air Atlantique's DC-3 is a frequent visitor to air shows in Britain. She is used for scenic flights and cargo transports. Based on repaint templates by Mark Beaumont and original textures by Jan Visser, this texture set in Air Atlantique livery requires the base DC-3 package available from Mid Atlantic Air Museum Simulations (MAAM-SIM) at www.maam.org. Prop textures by Bob Rivera. Requires previous installation of OY-BPB C-47 package (BPB_FS9.ZIP). Installation instructions are included.

This DC-3 Dakota (c/n 16583, RAF XF648) was purchased from RAF Kilbride by BKS Air Transport Ltd. in May 1952 and served the company as G-AMSH 'John Alcock' until December 1966. Based on Jan Visser's legendary DC-3 model for FS2000, updated for FS2002, this model includes transparent cockpit and cabin windows, nightlighting, lit 3D interior with opening passenger door, boarding ladder and other details.
