This folder contains a repaint for the Consolidated B-24D by Flight Replicas, adapted for use in P3Dv5. It shows B-24D-10-Cf 42-62885 BZ862 of the RAF. Arrived in the UK in 1943, it was flown to Karachi, arriving there in August 1943. It first flew with 354 Sqn with serial A, before going to 160 Sqn as J. It was based in Minneriya, in present-day Sri Lanka and was used for long distance mine-laying operations. For this, they removed all extra weight and installed three additional tanks in the forward bomb-bay. This aircraft flew a sortie to southern Malaya to drop two British officers near the Kota Tinggi/Johore road on 31-7/1-8-1945, captained by Flt Lt J A Muir RCAF, and was airborne for 24 hrs 10 mins, the longest unrefuelled flight ever made by any Allied landplane in World War II; the distance flown was 3,735 mls (6,013 km). File Description:
Zuliana de Aviacion, registration YV-499C, the last cargo existing in the fleet, aircraft 45686-210, ex Air Canada cargo CF-TJQ, N4769F, Zaire cargo 9Q-CDM, 9Q-CSJ, EL-AJQ Liberia World AL to Liberia World AL EL-AJQ, joined the fleet of Zuliana in mid-1990's. Once the airline ceased operations in 1996, stills stored in Maracaibo (SVMC) awaiting its fate. Full reworked colors, wings, stabilizers and other details. Dirty white base coat by Joerg Zeitschel. Textures only for the Historic Jetliners Group Dc-8-50F, (hjg_Douglas_DC-8-50F_v5.zip)

File Description:
US Airways bought Shuttle, Inc. from a group of banks. The new US Airways shuttle operated continuous flights between Reagan National Airport in Washington DC, Boston Logan, and New York LaGuardia. At first the shuttle was operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary, but it was soon integrated into the mainline operation. As airbuses were being delivered to US Airways, some were delivered in a US Airways Shuttle livery, but after the integration, the "Shuttle" was removed from the fuselage. This package includes the Shuttle liveries for both the A319 and A320 on the great Project Airbus models. Enjoy!
