File Description:
This DOC file explains how to port all of Simmer's Sky (Overland) airliners into FSX (with working panels, sound, jetways & baggage carts, and camera definitions). You must have some of these airliners installed for this to make any sense! This is the final version which includes instructions for converting ALL of the World Airlines models into FSX (supersedes V1 and V2). Converts the A300, A319, A320, A321, A330, A340, A380, B737, B747, B767, B777, MD11.

FSX Dynamic Benchmark Package

File Description:
This package provide a means of measuring the performance of FSX in a repeatable and consistent manner. The benchmark is a 5 minute long autopiloted CRJ700 flight that starts just after the aircraft has taken off from KPAE, climbed to 1500ft, and reached 250kts towards the Seattle city center, overflies KSEA then heads directly for Mount Rainier. The idea is to get a good mix of rural / suburban / cityscape, clouds, water, and AI aircraft / boats / cars. Use include assessing the impact of FSX setting changes, the impact of different hardware drivers, hardware setting changes and hardware upgrades on FSX performance. It can also be used to comparing the performance of your system to other similarly configured systems to ensure the performance you are achieving is is representative of what can be expected and to compare the performance of your system to hardware component changes or a new system that you are considering upgrading to yourself.

WashDCX beta for FSX

File Description:
WashDCX beta is a complete upgrade to the default FSX Washington D.C. scenery. You will find included in this download: Satellite images; traffic files; and additional significant landmarks and buildings surrounding the downtown National Mall area. See the Readme file for a complete list. I have imported several models from Google Sketchup taking great care to minimize drawcalls for each one. Although all models may not appear "perfect" in the beta version, I have shown it can be done and it is something that can be improved on. You will find a drastic improvement of flying over Washington D.C. when compared to the default FSX scenery. This is the first beta release. Hope Airfield - CYHE (FSX)

File Description:
Nestled in deep wilderness at the base of the Cascade Mountains, Hope sits on a wide sweeping curve of the Fraser River. Fly north of Hope and follow the Fraser River through the Fraser Canyon. Fly west through the pass to Harrison Hot Springs. This scenery was compiled from satellite images and photographs of the area. Acreages north of the field have been re-done. The lumber operation to the northeast is all new. All scenery objects are sourced from FSX Deluxe. Incidentally, Hope is the longest grass airstrip in Canada. You have a lot of room for a soft landing. VANCOUVER PLUS is required for this scenery to work.
