FSX/FS2004 USAF C-133B Cargomaster 590524 Download

File Description:
This is a repaint of the Douglas C-133B Cargomaster in the USAF scheme. The freeware Douglas C-133 Cargomaster by Tim Conrad is needed for this repaint - link provided. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & FS2004. Textures for FS2004 users are included. Textures are 32bit DDS & DXT3 BMP. The C-133 was conceived as an air transport for the USA's large missiles, and was designed to meet the requirements for the USAF’s Logistic Carrier Support System. The Douglas designed C-133 Cargomaster first flew on 23 April 1956. In fact, Douglas built 50 of the turboprop powered C-133 Cargomasters from 1956 to 1961. It was the largest turboprop transport ever to be accepted by the U.S. Air Force. In 1958 the C-133s began flying MATS air routes throughout the world, and two Dover based C-133s established transatlantic speed records for transport aircraft on their first flights to Europe. The fleet of 50 aircraft proved itself invaluable during the Vietnam War, but fatigue problems led to their withdrawal from service in 1971. The aircraft was a marvel in its era, but it was soon under the microscope as the accidents started accunmulating. Throughout the 15 year service of the C-133 9 were destroyed in accidents and one was written off. Having said that, the C-133 was the first wave of turboprop and jet powered giants to come onto the scene in the post piston engine era, and was followed by the C-141, and the giant of them all the C-5 Galaxy. This aircraft, 590524, was with the 60th Military Airlift Wing MAC. It was retired on Jun 16, 1971, and scrapped by end of 1974.

FSX/P3D Alisarda DC-9-14 1974 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-9-14 in Alisarda colors. The freeware Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations' (George Arana) DC-9-10 native FSX conversion with VC, of Erick Cantu's DC-9-10, is needed for this repaint (Link provided). The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3. Alisarda took purchase of two DC-9-14s from Delta Airlines, I-SARJ and I-SARV, both of which were delivered on 11 January 1974. These DC-9-14s were among the first Douglas produced DC-9s that were delivered to Delta Airlines in 1966. With 88 seats and a much longer reach than the Fokker F-27s, the DC-9s were used for charter flights to West Germany. A new color scheme was also introduced with the introduction of the DC-9s. The green with white was replaced by a red with blue and yellow color scheme. In addition to the two DC-9s, the only remaining F-27; I-SARQ, was also equipped with this new color scheme. The DC-9s were eventually replaced by leased DC-9-50s in 1981.

FSX/P3D Alisarda DC-9-32 1982 Download

File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-9-32 in Alisarda colors. The freeware Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations' (George Arana) DC-9-30 native FSX conversion with VC, of Erick Cantu's DC-9-30, is needed for this repaint (Link provided). The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3. In 1977 Alisarda leased two DC-9 series 32s with 105 seats from Airfinco SA in Switzerland, which maintained their Swiss registration. The first aircraft delivered was HB-IKB on 13/4/1977, followed by HB-IKC on 13/10/1977. With the extra aircraft at their disposal, Alisarda started a scheduled service between Cagliari (in Sardinia) and Milan in 1978, and flights were operated from these two airports to Geneva, Zurich, Paris, and Düsseldorf. The two DC-9s, HB-IKB and HB-IKC, were eventually bought from Airfinco SA and re-registered as I-SARW and I-SARZ respectively. In turn, they were eventually replaced by two newly delivered MD-82s with 172 seats, in 1984.

FSX/P3D Alisarda DC-9-51 1991 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-9-51 in Alisarda colors. The freeware Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations' (George Arana) DC-9-50 native FSX conversion with VC, of Erick Cantu's DC-9-50, is needed for this repaint (Link provided). The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3. Alisarda purchased three DC-9-51s with 139 seats to replace the two aging DC-9-14s in 1981. Just like the DC-9-32s, which were initially leased from Airfinco SA, so were the three DC-9-50s. These were: HB-IKF, delivered on 20/2/81, HB-IKG, delivered on 13/3/81, and HB-IKH, delivered on18/5/81. They were also bought by the carrier and re-registered in 1984; HB-IKF to I-SMEI, HB-IKG to I-SMEU, and HB-IKH to I-SMEA. They remained with Alisarda until the merger, and beyond with Meridiana.

FSX/P3Dv3 Alisarda F-27-200 1973 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the F-27-200 in Alisarda colors. The freeware FSX Native with VC F-27-200 by Bjorn Kesten is needed for this repaint. It was converted from Mike Stone's and Tom Gibson's models. The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3. Alisarda was an Italian airline based at Olbia, in Sardinia. It was established on March 28, 1963 as an air taxi company registered under the official name Linee Aerea della Sardegna SpA. Their first aircaft were two Beech 18s and Alisarda only provided a charter service. However, one year later,in 1964, they opened their fist scheduled service from Olbia to Rome. 1965 proved to be a pivotal year for the carrier. A reorganization was carried out whereby an agreement was concluded with Algenova for technical and commercial support. New investors were found, and in February 1965 two new Nord 262s were ordered from Nord Aviation. Due to this greater transport capacity, the transport figures increased strongly and in 1966 a total of 5,640 passengers were transported. The passenger loads increased dramatically in 1968 and 1969, so, Alisarda purchased three F-27 Friendships to take up the extra loads. The airline entered the 1970s with strength, and in January 1974 they received their first pure jets with the purchase of two DC-9-14s from Delta Airlines, I-SARJ and the I-SARV. 1977 saw them purchase two DC-9-32s, followed by three DC-9-50s in 1983, which replaced the aging DC-9-14s. In 1984 they received two new Maddog 82s. Their route network by 1989 consisted of domestic flights to many cities in Italy, plus international routes to Zurich, Geneva, Munich, Frankfurt, Paris, and Nice. In 1991 Alisarda merged with the Spanish carrier Universair, as the shareholders wanted to become a bigger players on the European market. The new carrier was named Meridiana. Thus, the name Alisarda ceased to exist.
