This package features two fantastic AI models created by Craig Ritchie, accurately representing Bombardier's smaller Global, the Global 5000, which is 2.67ft shorter in fuselage length than standard Global Express aircraft. This package also contains highly accurate flight plans, featuring many real-world routings. Please note: This is a FSX package ONLY! File Description:
FSX Douglas DC-6 ver 2.0. This package includes the DC-6 in its earliest form with short nose (no weather radar) and round-tipped Curtiss Electric propellers as delivered to the first DC-6 customers in 1946-48. The later aircraft had the more well-known, square-tipped 'paddle' propellers, and this version is included as well. Most, if not all, of the early DC-6's were later modernized to this standard, and many (especially from the U.S. operators) had weather radar installed in a longer nose. This package contains most variants, including liveries for American, United, Delta, Panagra, SAS, Sabena and KLM, nine aircraft in all. The KLM repaint is by Maarten Brouwer. Model by Jens B. These will give better FPS performance in
FSX than using the FS9 models, though with
a few FSX inherent limitations...
99.1% compatible with repaints made for FS9
models. (There is a lightmap issue, see the
included PDF for more information.)...
You must know how to manually install an
aircraft model in FS to have any hope of
successfully using these files...

| FSX patch for Rio de Janeiro mesh |

File Description:
FSX brings as default a very good mesh for Rio de Janeiro City, showing the Sugar Loaf very detailed, in LOD 10. However, that mesh cover a limited area and changes its resolution to LOD 6, yet in a mountainous region. The consequences are visibles cuts in the relief, mainly in Paralel S22* 30'.
The solution we found was to compile the neighbours area at North, West and East, in LOD10 resolution changing to LOD 9, so to smooth the transition from those differents resolutions.
