P-51D 15th FG/78th FS Iwo Jima 100 "Jeanne VIII"

File Description:
P-51D-20 44-63973 was assigned to Major James M. Van de Hey, the CO of the 78th FS. He was a highly experienced veteran fighter pilot, who had scored his first victories flying a P-40 with the 45th FS in january 1944. He shot down a 'Dinah' on 7 april 1945, on the first VLR mission to Tokio. Jim van de Hey retired from the USAF in 1971 as a brigadier general. Repaint of the Shockwave WWII Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on paintkit by John Terrell.

File Description:
42-76464, a P-47D-20, was assigned to Lt Floyd N Hass of the 391st FS/366th FG from Asch (Y29) in Belgium, january 1945. It was belly-landed by Lt Sampson after he'd been hit by flak. Repaint for the Shockwave P-47D by Jan Kees Blom.

File Description:
44-14165 was flown by Lt. Jimmie Wright of the 376th FS. In March/April 1944, Lt. Wright was one of four 361st pilots assigned to 'Bill's Buzz Boys' and destroyed two Ju88s and an Me110 on the ground, probably destroyed an Me210 and damaged another, plus another Me110. Repaint for the Shockwave WWII Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by John Terrell.
