This is a repaint of RAZBAM's excellent A-4E. These textures represent an A-4E of VA-163, Saints, on the USS Oriskany in 1965. In the real world this aircraft BUNO 151083 was shot down on 11/17/1965 by AAA on a mission over North Vietnam. The Pilot, LCDR Roy Howard Bowling, Operations Officer, was killed in action on the mission. VA-163 was disestablished on 7/1/1971. THESE ARE TEXTURES ONLY! Welcome to Mankomen Lake! Great scenery and fantastic fishing are found throughout the entire area. Mankomen sits almost right in the middle of an outdoorsman's paradise. One may fly in and land at the airport or use the floatplane facility at the lake. This is a great hub to fly out to other lakes in the area from. Bigger airports such as Gulkana, Valdez, and Northway, are not too far from Mankomen. While Mankomen Lake is truly a real-world airport, this scenery is fictitious. Please enjoy!

A memorial to a once great airline. This livery graced the TWA L-1011 from 1977 to 1982. The Lockheed L-1011 TriStar first flew on November 16th 1970. The L-1011's systems were considered far superior to any airliner ever built. Its technology was many years ahead of its time and in the ensuing 35 years of service no TriStar accident has ever been traced to a mechanical failure. Its safety and comfort have become legendary. Sadly, the DC-10's early release date eventually forced the closure of the L-1011 assembly line after only 250 aircraft were sold. The early demise of such an advanced airliner, which in 1970 had systems equal to or superior to today's Airbus and Boeings, was a serious loss for the entire aviation community.
