Land Classification Visual Reference Download

File Description:
Welcome to the visual reference for Land Classifications used with MSFS 2002 and 2004. This reference is not tested with MS Flight Simulator X, but I guess it could be very helpful there too. You are able to see how a specific Land Classification Value will look in MSFS without building a .bgl file first. You can even compare different Values right away to make an easy decision of which one to use. Since this reference is a PDF file, you don't need any other tool, but a PDF reader or editor of your choice. The amount of the visual references is very complete, at least as far as the documentation of the SDK for Terrain Modeling is complete. All the screenshots are taken at Ibiza, Spain at the exact same location, angle of view, season, date and time with identical weather conditions. This way it is easy to compare the different Land Classifications and get an idea of how they really look.

Cambrian Airways Douglas DC3's Download

File Description:
Cambrian Airways roots extend back to 1935 when Cambrian Air Services was founded at Pengham Moor airfield, Cardiff to provide flight training and pleasure flights. Operations were suspended upon the outbreak of war in 1939 but resumed again in January 1946. Operations grew steadily and DH Rapide and Dove aircraft were added to the fleet. A move to Rhoose Airport in 1954 allowed Cambrian to consider the purchase of larger aircraft. In November 1954, the first Dakota was delivered with the second arriving in January 1955. With the introduction of Dakotas, Cambrian Air Services changed its name to Cambrian Airways in May 1955. Over the years Cambrian owned ten different DC3's having a maximum of eight of the type on fleet at any one time and six remained in service with them until the type was retired in 1969. This set of repaints shows seven of the different airfames in five different liveries that were used during Cambrian's operation of the type.

Pober Pixie Light Aircraft Download

File Description:
The Pober Pixie was a light aircraft designed in the United States in the early 1970s and marketed for homebuilding. It was a conventional parasol-wing monoplane with fixed tailwheel undercarriage and a single-seat, open cockpit. In response to the 1973 oil crisis, the EAA launched "Project Econoplane" to develop an aircraft with high fuel economy that would therefore be affordable for its members to operate. The Pober Pixie was the result, with fuel consumption of 3 to 3.5 US Gal (11 to 13 L) per hour. Plans were completed in January 1974 and the prototype flew in late July, in time for the EAA Annual Convention that year. After the convention, the prototype was returned to the shop for minor improvement work, including installation of a Limbach SL 1700 EA engine (60 hp @ 3550 rpm) and Rehm 5330 two-blade fixed-pitch propeller. The improvements were incorporated into the plans.

3N6 - Old Bridge Airport - Old Bridge, NJ Download

File Description:
Here is an improved version of the stock Old Bridge Airport. This one has a little twist, because located right next to Old Bridge Airport is Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, sometimes called Englishtown. NHRA drag racing occurs here on the drag strip including national events. I did the usual upgrade to the airport with new buildings, fuel depot, static vehicles and planes, etc. Then I went to work on the drag strip. I added grandstands down both sides, fabricated a Christmas tree, added concession stands, tents and vehicles in the pit area, cars in the spectator parking area, new buildings, and a building that resembles the tower and suites located at the starting line. I've included two scenery files, one for summer with the drag strip active and one for winter with everything closed up and put away. You should only install ONE of these .bgl files at a time based on the season you're flying.

Continental Airlines Boeing 727-024C ( circa 1967 ) Download

File Description:
FS2004 Boeing 727-024C Continental Airlines circa 1967 Vistaliners's 727-024C in Continentals 1967 Golden Jet Delivery Livery with medium weathering effects. This is Continentals #1 of only 5 727-100s to every wear Continentals Golden jet livery, and they only wore this livery for a very short period of time before getting the black meatball livery applied to them.Making this paint an even more rare collectible livery. Under a new agreement,HJG-Historic Jetliners Group is now hosting the Vistaliners 727s and as of this posting, the 727-100 base packs have been finished.HJG has produced aircraft specific very authentic FDE's for these aircraft and all are now available on the HJG website. So I suggest everyone go to HJG and grab these base packs and update their existing 727-100s with these new updates. These new FDE's are top notch and the panel is also adapted for use with the -100 as well. As always... Enjoy!!

Rocky Mountain Airport Tour Download

File Description:
Rocky Mountain Airport Tour: A very hard flight plan in common GA Aircraft. I flew this with a Carenado B58. VFR Flight with wild swings in Altitudes. Maintain 16000 (One Six Thousand) feet for most of the flight to and from the airports. You will have to fly around mountains on approaches with steep short field finals. GPS flight plan is just a guide. You will have to follow the mountain passes from some airports in order to attain sufficient altitude (in some cases). Don't wimp out! Max load your plane. Country: USA State: Cololorado Start: KDRO (Make sure you start from a parking spot) End: KHDN Most difficult: Taking off at Buckhorn Ranch (8000+ feet ALT, 4000 FT Runway) Toughest area between airports: KASE to KEGE Time to compleat: about 3 hours Good Luck. Questions Contact me at AVSIM Avsim ID: hawkDsl To Install: Copy "Rocky Mountain Airport Tour.pln" and paste it into you FSX flight plan file Win7 : userfiles/my document/Flight Simulator X Files
