PMDG SIDSTARS Los Angeles Intl (KLAX)

File Description:
Procedures based on FAA Digital Terminal Procedures and Digital Aeronautical Information CDROM current for Cycle 0702 (15Feb-15Mar). This is a major redo of the KLAX I have provided for most of the past year; changes include STARS are now enumerated by landing runway instead of selecting the STAR-to-ILS transition from the approach transition menu. This provides a uniform method that is the same as the other locations included in my collection. The other major change is I have separate departure procedures for most SIDs providing either "as-published" with ATC vectors required or a NOATC derivative that provides realistic departures from each applicable runway. All turbojet procedures are included and all approaches. The text header of the procedures file contains detail information regarding each procedure and use.

PMDG 747-400 PAX Tutorial Long Haul Flight

File Description:
This is a tutorial for the PMDG 747-400 PAX simulated aircraft. The flight covered is from Heathrow London, to Los Angeles International. The tutorial covers and explains all aspects of this flight from fuel preparation, flight plan preparation, to pre-flight checks and setup, flying, cruising, descending, holding, approach, landing and shutting down. Those aspects that are not covered in detail but are relevant to a long haul flight of this kind are mentioned and also explained. I have tried to be as comprehensive with my illustration and descriptions as possible, this is more of a walkthrough than a switch pressing instruction manual, as a result a great deal of explaination is included. The tutorial is 211 pages, with many colour images, so please be aware of this if you decide to print.

Restricted Airspace Mission

File Description:
This is my first attempt at a mission in Flight Simulator X. It's a simple mission following ATC instructions. You must be able to read a map and identify your location visually. I am working on adding a few more effects, but thought the community would enjoy this mission in its present form. I won't spoil the mission by giving too much detail, but your general heading for the flight is 70 to 80 degrees for a landing at Burke Lakefront Airport which is just north of downtown Cleveland. Prominent visual features on the shore of lake erie are the Key Bank skyscraper, Browns Stadium and the Rock Hall of Fame which are all visible in FSX. You will be flying just north of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

Saudi Arabian Airlines Boeing 777-200

File Description:
This is my hand-drawn repaint of Meljet's wonderful model of the B777-200 showing the colors of Saudi Arabian Airlines (HZ-AKN) in high quality (32-bit) and in high level of detail. The night textures of the windows are synchronized with the window shades of the day textures. There is no discoloration of the landing gear doors with the main fuselage/wing. The logos are exact especially the Saudi Arabian flag. The lettering is the correct style. There are also different reflections on the fuselage such as the white strip along the windows showing the reflection of the sun, the bluish shadow on top showing the reflection of the sky and the orange-brown reflection at the bottom showing the reflection of the ground. Hope you try it out and enjoy.

Aero 145 for AI

File Description:
Aero 145 (Czechoslovakia) Four or five seat light twin aircraft manufactured in the late 1940's through to 1961. More than 700 Aero 145s were produced in their various manifestations. While it has been made for AI purposes it is actually a pleasant aircraft to fly and so I have left a link to a DC3 panel for your flying pleasure. This has been modelled with Gmax v1.2 using a minimum number of polygons, and has animated landing gear, ailerons, flaps, elevators and rudder. It has 4 LOD models and a single texture set and is extremely frame rate friendly. It is designed specifically to enhance the AI aircraft population and to use with the marvellous GA-Traffic program by Markus Brunner . Three textures and a paintkit are included.

Dunsfold Park Industrial Estate (EGTD)

File Description:
EDTD - Dunsfold Park Industrial Estate (formerly Dunsfold Aerodrome) for FS9 default scenery. Dunsfold is visible as you make you turn onto final approach course for runway 08R at London Gatwick. It is a private airfield, landing by prior permission only and not an airport of entry. As such, this is not intended for the user, or AI, to fly to, merely a visual reference point on the Gatwick approach. There is a space for the parked B747 and some token GA spaces if you'd like to send AI here anyway. Old runways, taxiways, ramps and indication of building positions are shown but positioning is very approximate. Users of photoreal VFR scenery do not need this file. Famous (in the UK) as BBC Top Gear's test track. Visual approach procedure only, no ILS.

Royal Italian Air Force Lockeed P-38J

File Description:
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was one of the most prominent fighters throughout WWII in both major theaters of operation. P-38s scored some of the first victories in the Pacific Theater. In Europe, they often provided high-altitude long range escorts for bombers. A P-38 was captured by the Italians on 12th June 1943 after a mistaken landing in Capoterra airport (Cagliari, Sardinia). After a while, with 'Regia Aeronautica's insignas (Royal Italian Air Force), it was flown by Colonel Angelo Tondi in a fighter mission over Torvajanica (Rome), where a B-24 was shotted down. The aircraft was finally grounded due to the damages caused by Italian fuel to the tanks.Textures only in 'Regia Aeronautica' livery for payware 'Sky Unlimited Lockheed Aircraft P38 Vol.1'.
