PMDG SIDSTARS Update for San Diego Intl (KSAN)

File Description:
Cycle 0609 (31Aug-28Sep 06) procedures file based on FAA NACO Digital Aeronautical Chart Supplement and published charts. The procedures include all SIDs STARs and IAPs. STAR HUBRD1 is enumerated for landing direction with a route provided to the approach FAF for use when ATC services are not used (Use HUBRD1.09 landing ILS9 or HUBRD1.27 landing LOC27 or HUBRD1 if using ATC vectors). The text file header includes SID and STAR Charts to assist in selection of procedures.

VF-213 Black Lions for IRIS F-14

File Description:
This is a repaint of VF-213 Black Lions. VF-213 served along side VF-31 on the last carrier deployment for the F-14 tomcat. VF-213 saw an active roll in Operation Iraqi Freedom and was credited with the last combat mission for the F-14 tomcat. VF-213 began there transition to the F-18 Super hornet in April,2006. Textures only!!!!!!!! You must own IRIS F-14 package.

Grumman Goose "Realism Fix" for Water Contact Points

File Description:
This file contains a text file with modified contact point data for the FSX Grumman Goose and step by step instructions on how to add them. The idea was to change the water contact points to match how the Goose sits in the water in reality. There are 2 sets of contact points to choose from, one which I think is more realistic and another one which reduces tilting even more.

New Elevation data GeoTiles.tag for FU3 Seattle Region

File Description:
The test elevation meshes for Switzerland and UK Region using the data from NASA SRTM_V2 program ( 3 arc second resolution, about 90m grid ) was so successful that I have tried to do a new elevation file for the Seattle Region using the 1 arc second elevation from the same source ( US area only ) 30m grid resolution. Each elevation point ( 64m grid in FU3 ) is now converted from the UTM coordinate to the exact Lat/Long WGS84 coordinate and for this point the elevation data are picked up and stored. The Geotiles.tag file residing in the /region/seattle/geos/ folder contains this data. To benefit from this new elevation experience FIRST RENAME YOUR ORIGINAL GEOTILES.DAT FILE INTO XGEOTILES.DAT then copy the geotiles.tag from this zip into the geos folder of the Seattle region. Start FU3 and enjoy the new perfect fitted landscape. Best way is to start directly from the air and not from an airport then all airport are no more flat, have hills and holes. Models and runways are floating over the ground or are into the ground.

Flight Deck 4 Cable Zones for IRIS Kuznetsov

File Description:
The Abacus Flight Deck 4 add-on for FS9 incorporates a catch and catapult system. This system uses a series of entries in the register detailing the position of the catapult zone and catch zone for each aircraft carrier. This file includes the updates to the register in order to use this system with the IRIS Kuznetsov carrier

PMDG B1900C and B1900D Thumbnails for Aircraft Menu

File Description:
Info: I took the liberty of creating thumbnails for the PMDG B1900C and B1900D official liveries as downloaded from the PMDG website. These were created from 1600x1200 screen-captures and reduced in size to 256x192x24-bit thumbnails. I know the recommendation is 256x128 but these seem to work great and keep the aspect ratio as well. Each thumbnail is saved in the proper texture folder as named by each livery auto-installer. Instructions: Manually copy over your PMDG B1900C and/or B1900D aircraft from FS9 to FSX as described in the PMDG forum thread. Supplied in two seperate zips, B1900C & B1900D, extract each zip to the root of your FSX directory with "use pathnames" enabled. Such as: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FSX. Again, the texture folder names were derived from the PMDG Livery auto-installers and have not been changed.

FSX Repairs for seven planes by Don Halcom

File Description:
FSX REPAIR aircraft transparency issues. This can be used to repair transparency problems for the Giles-202, Starlite, Skyboy, Su-31, Sierra, Sierra Amphibian, or P2004 Bravo that I have made for the FSX. Be sure to read the "install.txt" file. Aircraft window glass will be shiny and present if you use this stuff. Other stuff will also look better. By Don Halcom
