The Dash-8 Q400 by Majestic Software for FSX is a very complex model, and therefore continuous practice is normally needed to remain current on this aircraft. This EASY FLYING GUIDE is made for those who want to fly this wonderful model only occasionally, without studying the manuals before each flight. The EASY FLYING GUIDE leads you through your flight with the Majestic Software Dash-8 Q400, from the preparation of the FSX until engine shutdown at the parking position of the destination airport. It is a kind of checklist, amended by additional information (e.g. where the switches for each step are located in the cockpit and how to operate the essential FMS functions). Besides a PDF, there is also a DOC file which allows you to modify the guide for your own needs (but not for further distribution/publishing!). Updated version with slightly modified flow and extended description of FMS and engine functions, based on Pilot Edition V1.012

| Olympic Airlines DASH8 Q100 |

File Description:
This is a De Havilland Canada Dash8 Q100 model by DREAMWINGS repainted in the Olympic Airlines colours by John Orfanos ([email protected]). Its Registration Number is SX-BIO and is named "Katerina Thanou" after the greek female sprinter (100m) and olympic gold medalist. During ATHENS 2004 olympic games the particular aircraft was repainted in Olympic Airlines ATHENS 2004 colour scheme as well as the "Kostas Kenteris". It is mainly used in Short-range distances and inter-island connections. 32-bit textures, no mip-mapping, dirty look makes the model - (included) - very realistic.

Delta Airlines emerged from a 19-month Chapter 11 bankruptcy on April 30, 2007. As part of the return to solvency and 'transformation', they are rebranding and have painted several of their aircraft with their new logo. This ERJ-145LR, registration N856MJ, is the first of the Delta Connection fleet to wear Delta's new paint scheme. It is operated under the Delta Connection logo by Freedom Airlines. Freedom Airlines, founded in 2002, is headquartered in Irving, Texas and is a subsidiary of Mesa Air Group. It operates flights as Delta Connection for Delta Air Lines out of Orlando International (KMCO) exclusively using Embraer-145 aircraft. This is a complete install; Dreamwings ERJ-145 model and air files included. Uses default 737 panel and sounds. NOTE: This is a reupload due to the file being lost in the AVSIM site compromise.

| US Airways Express / Piedmont Airlines 'New Colors' DeHavilland Dash8-Q102 (N942HA) |

File Description:
I looked around for a bit for the Dash-8-102 in the new livery of US Airway Express, operated by Piedmont Airlines, but could not find one. So, I decided to repaint it in the excellent Dreamwings model. This aircraft and roughly 54 other Dash-8's (100 and 300 models) are operated under the US Airways Express logo by Piedmont Airlines, originally founded as Henson Aviation (that's the HA in the Registration). The new US Airways livery which this aircraft wears is very striking and colorful and is quite a contrast from the prior US Airways livery. Though I could only find a few photos of this airframe, I repainted this with a goal of having a realistic and detailed end product. I hope this repaint does not fail in either of those aspects. Fuselage textures are 32-bit no mips, all other textures DXT3 (no mips). This is a textures only package; you must have the Dreamwings Design Dash8 Q-100 model available here at AVSIM.

Delta recently started using these aircraft on regional routes based out of New York - Kennedy, JFK; to destinations such as Hartford, Providence, and other short routes. Also note that I included a wingview package inside this zip, with up to six (6) wingviews! Aircraft depicted here is N801LR (Delta's First Dash 81') repainted with a slightly dirty/darkish look. For all you TNCM and Caribbean fans, here's a very high-quality, finely-detailed repaint of the more colorful livery of Caribbean Sun Airlines' Dash8 Q-100, registration N880CC. I have seen several repaints for this specific version of the Caribbean Sun livery, but all were missing the sunburst just forward of the wing spar on the upper part of the fuselage. This repaint has that as well as all of the other details of this stunning livery. I hope this repaint does not fail you in the aspects of detail or realism. I even painted the tug a standard blue. I hope you enjoy flying this wonderful aircraft as much as I did creating it. Fuselage textures are 32-bit, everything else DXT3. You will need the Dreamwings model as this is a textures only package.

Here's another Dash-8 especially for the Canadian simmers out there or those who prefer the challenge of simming the Great White North. This is one of several Dash 8-102's flown by Air Inuit, based in Dorval, Quebec, Canada. Air Inuit is wholly owned by the people of Nunavik thorough the Makivik Corporation. This aircraft makes daily evening arrivals into Montreal and departs in the early morning from there to various destinations throughout Quebec. Fuselage textures are 32-bit no mips, all other textures DXT3 (no mips). This is a textures only package; you must have the Dreamwings Design Dash8 Q-100 model available here at AVSIM.

I originally released this aircraft here on January 26th 2007. I recently received some valuable input from He Lingyuan, a fellow simmer from the great land of China. This input lead to a correction on the Chinese lettering on the right side of the fuselage. Thank you He Lingyuan. So, I took this opportunity to correct another problem with this aircraft repaint; the Rolls Royce engine logos. They were missing from the original repaint. They are now present. So, with these changes consider this re-release as a version 2.
Repainted textures are 32-bit with no mipmaps. As before, this is a full install; Dreamwings Design ERJ-145 model and air files included. Uses default panel and sounds, but see README file for panel and sound suggestions.
NOTE: This is a re-upload due to the AVSIM site compromise.
