SkyHigh Audio Simulations is proud to present our brand new radial engine Douglas DC-3 Pratt and Whitney R-1830 sound pack for FSX! This sound could also be used for other twin engine P&W R-1830 powered aircraft such as the PBY Catalina/Canso.
FSX's sound cone technology has been extensively used to provide as much of a realistic sound experience as possible in the exterior view. Features include propwash sound effects from immediately behind the propeller, realistic radial engine start-up sounds, and a very realistic sounding fly-by! SkyHigh Audio Simulations' usual touches have been added such as using audio recordings only from Dogulas DC-3 and other P&W R1830 radial engine powered aircraft as source files to provide a fully authentic sound experience for the simmer. This sound pack is designed to work with ANY model in FS9, but moreso intended for Calclassic's R-2800 powered planes like the DC-6, Convairliners, Curtiss C-46, and also meant for the Canadair CL-215 water bomber. This sound pack includes many unique and realistic features, including realistic start up sounds and vintage propliner environment sounds are included. | Flying Tiger Line - Flight #152 - Los Angeles to New York, May 1955 |

File Description:
Three separate IFR flight-plans covering the scheduled Flying Tiger Lines service #152 from Los Angeles to New York as at 1st. May 1955. The aircraft used on "Daybreaker" Flight #152 was the Douglas DC-6A. This particular flight commences in Los Angeles at 23:00 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), arrives in Chicago at 07:15 Central Daylight Time (CDT) the next morning, departs Chicago at 08:30 CDT, arrives in Detroit (Willow Run) at 09:45 Eastern Standard Time (EST), departs Detroit at 11:00 EST and finally arrives in New York (Newark) at 14:10 EDT. Talk about a confusion of timezones! To make the most from this package you should download and install the CalClassic DC-6B model and also the Flying Tiger Lines livery created by Wayne Tudor. The latter is available from www.avsim.com and is file ftl_dc6a.zip. The aircraft itself is available from www.calclassic.com/dc6b.htm. Note that it must be a small-spinner model, not the aircraft with the larger streamlined spinners.

| FSX/P3D Aloha Pacific Airlines DC-10-30 Circa 1984 |

This is a repaint of the DC-10-30 in Aloha Pacific Airlines colors. The freeware DC-10-30 by Thomas Ruth is needed for this repaint. Aloha Pacific, an offshoot of Aloha Airlines, was formed in 1984, with a leased DC-10-30 from Philippine Airlines, to provide long haul flights. They inaugurated Aloha Pacific flights from Honolulu to Guam and Taipei on May 28 1984. However, The international service and intense interisland fare and schedule competition placed a drain on Aloha, forcing it to post a net loss of $1.86. The result was the closing down of the Aloha Pacific division just 8 months later, on January 12 1985. Additionally, all DC-10-30 flights to Guam and Taipei ceased. The DC-10 itself ended up with SAS. Textures are DXT5. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

This is a repaint of the DC-4 in Air Zaire colors. The freeware DC-4 (C-54) V3 by Jens B Kristensen is needed for this repaint. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are 32bit DDS.
Air Zaire operated 8 DC-4s. These were passed on to the airline by Air Congo, after the name change in 1971. This DC-4, 9Q-CBG was with Air Congo/Air Zaire from 1967 to July 1976, when it was sold to Zaire Aero Service. It tragically crashed with that airline, on August 23 1988, over Mbamou Island in in the Republic of the Congo.

This is a repaint of the DC-8-63CF in Seaboard World 1976 colors. The payware JustFlight DC-8-50--70 pack is needed for this repaint. Seaboard World received their first DC-8-63CF in June 1968. At that time it was the world's biggest airliner. Seaboard ordered 12 of the type. N8639 was delivered new to Seaboard World in August 1968. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are DXT5 dds.

A repaint for AI Aardvark DC-9-30 in JAT (Yugoslav Airlines) colors. JAT is one of the few european airlines that actualy still flies DC-9s on their scheduled routes. Since most of them are completly white (see my other repaint), I've also made a repaint in JAT nineties livery. Since there aren't many DC-9s still around, it could be a welcome refreshment to your favorite airport. Intended for AI use only. TEXTURES ONLY! Model can be downloaded from avsim.com.

This is a repaint of the Airlift International DC-7C(F) in mid 1960s colors. The freeware CalClassic DC-7C by Greg Pepper and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. Airlift acquired quite a few DC-7CFs from Riddle Airlines after the name change. This aircraft, N8218H, was purchased in 1960 by Riddle Airlines from Swissair, and then joined Airlift in 1963. Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FS2004, FSX, & P3D v1-3.
