FSX FIXES/IMPROVEMENTS for my previously released Douglas C-117D repaint
textures for privately owned red and white N5739Y (FSX_Douglas_C-117D_Private_Red-White_N5739Y.zip), for the freeware
Manfred Jahn and team Douglas C-117D (c117d_v1_beta.zip), which you must
have previously installed in FSX. Numerous adjustments to mismatched paint,
various anomolies, texture offsets, etc. in the wing leading edges, de-icer boots,
wingtips, glare shield (front vs.rear), starboard side problem between nose and
fuselage, space between inner and outer deicer boots, etc. Most were small and
hardly noticable, some were sticking out like a sore thumb and rather embarrassing
in hindsight (sorry). Belly pods repainted from gloss black to flat black (matching
the paint on the glare shield for better visual harmony). Gray rear tip of fuselage
located and painted red to match. Gray prop hubs painted for better visual appeal
and 'balance' with painted spinners. Antenna above cockpit repainted to match. And
alpha channels added for improved reflections. Very simple installation, just delete
the old texture folder and replace it with this new one. Repaint by Tom Tiedman.

This paint depicts (more or less,within the limitations of the model) the DC3 CS-TDA ,flown by Transportes Aereos Portugueses. (1945-1958 )
A guy from Portugal asked for this livery , he`ll receive my invoice shortly.Posted Image
The original model had wing-registration , due to the limitations of the texture-mapping of this model , this could not be reproduced. ( grrrrrrrrr..........!!)
The skin-set includes cockpit and cabin textures as well.
How to install:
Just unzip TAP CS-TDA.zip into a temp. folder , and start reading the readme file.

N102AP, Virgin Islands Int'l Airways for LES DC3
This is a livery-paint for the Leading Edge Simulations Douglas DC3/C47, painted by Leen "Flybike" de Jager
This paint depicts (more or less) the DC3, N102AP in the Virgin Islands International Airways livery.
The original model had wing-registration, due to the limitations of the texture-mapping of this model, this could not be reproduced. ( grrrrrrrrr..........!!)
This time I removed the (tiny) pilots from the cockpit.*
How to install:
Just unzip N102AP.zip in a temp folder, and start reading the Virgin Islands Readme First.PDF carefully.
*IF you want the pilots back in the cockpit simply remove file Pilot.png from the N102AP Virgin Islands/objects-folder.
Yes, removing a file to get something back, it sounds weird, but I am not kidding.

This is a livery-paint for the Leading Edge Simulations Douglas DC3.
This paint depicts (more or less) the DC3 HB-ISC aka "The Alrodo DC3"
The plane was owned by " Classic Air" in Switserland and had the Classic Air livery on the right side and
was advertising "Alrodo-perfumes" on the left side.
As usual this livery includes an complete new color and upholstery for the cockpit , making this livery unique on the inside as well.
The old magnetic compass broke down , I installed a newer one. ( still second-hand naturally )

Just unzip Alrodo.zip in a temp folder and start reading the Alrodo Readme First.PDF carefully!!

This is a livery-paint I made for the Leading Edge Simulations Douglas DC3.
Not just a normal average paint , no, this time a real thrill for those who want someting "obscure and spectacular"
This paint depicts (more or less) the N9012 in a livery for "Bird of the Sun" Air Travel Club.(1978)
Special for this livery is the fact both sides of the plane have different textures.
Both textures show the Maya-god "Quetzalcoatl" ( serpent-alike-symbol) , on the right with an animal-head ,on the left with a more human face , both known from the Maya-culture.
Thats why I named this paint Quetzalcoatl.
As usual this skin-package also includes customised cockpit/cabin texturing and normalmapping.
New for this paint-job is the addition of some "virtual-cabin-windows"(exterior effect only)
How to install:
Just unzip Quetzalcoatl.zip in a temp folder.
Start reading Quetzalcoatl Readme.PDF carefully FIRST.
I really hope you`ll enjoy this very special and rare livery as much as I did during the extremely time-consuming process of making it.

Presenting a fictional TriJet of sorts, an LTU DC-10-30. LTU never operated this kind of trijet in real life, as they only operated the MD-11, a successor of the DC-10, and the L-1011. This is a textures only pack. You need to have the SGA DC-10-30 basepack in order to install it.

File Description:
This is a repaint of one of the 2 aircraft used in the film "The High and The Mighty" (John Wayne and Robert Stack - 1954). This aircraft actually flew in this paint around Los Angeles and the bay area of southern California in November of 1953 for in-flight footage, so it's entirely fictional...but the airline was.
The original repaint was by Dave McQueen for Jens B. Kristensen's DC-4/C-54 version 2.0. I have updated it to make it compatable with the Jens' new version 2.1 (DC4_v21.zip) to use the DC-4-1009 airfile. Load your plane with 3050 gallons of fuel and balance out passengers and cargo to total 73,000 lbs. and you can duplicate flight #420 in the film! If you wish to shut down engine #1 and dump 200 gallons of fuel from the left wing and see if you can still get to San Fransico from Honolulu, that's up to you..but it is a challenge. The SGA DC10-30 aircraft offers dynamic flexing wings, which means you will see the wings flex up during takeoff, flex up and down on a hard landing or when encountering turbulence in-flight as affected by the current phase of flight and atmospheric conditions. Also with the assistance of a real world DC10 pilot, SGA have been able to realistically represent the aircraft's flight dynamics to a better degree than before.
