| Braathens SAFE Douglas C-54A |

In 1946 and 1947 the newly established Norwegian airline Braathens South American & Far East Airtransport A.S. purchased for its medium- and long haul operations on charter basis four ex-USAAF Douglas C-54A Skymasters. Three of them had been converted to DC-4 standard by Texas Maintenance Company (Temco) at Fort Worth, Texas, and featured on the starboard side an enlarged emergency exit. The fourth C-54A was purchased from KLM. Around 1950 the Norwegian authorities concluded that Braathens' operations got increasingly a structural character, read: scheduled, operations and as such became a threat for Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) which was a conglomerate of "state" airlines of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. SAS received all concessions for the international scheduled routes, which meant the end of the use of the Temco converted C-54A's. These are textures only. You will need Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 (DC4_V30X.ZIP). Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

| Douglas C-117D (CP-2421) Lineas Aereas Canedo |

This folder contains a repaint for version 3 of the Douglas C-117D Skytrooper by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of CP-2421 of Lineas Aereas Canedo. Originally built as C-47 42-93104, it went to the US Nvy as r4D-8 with BuNo 17190. It 1983 it went to Hawkings & Power Aviation as N4504W, later has other owners before going to Bolivi in 2002, becoming CP-2421 with Lineas Aereas Canedo. FS2002 Val-U-Prop Douglas DC-4M Canadair
Val-U-Prop has now acquired a DC-4 - and it's a special aircraft. Based on the original work of Tom Gibson and Harry Follas, this is a DC-4M Canadair. It features Merlin engines, a pressurized cabin, and is fully animated, with FS2002 strobe/nav/beacon/landing lights added. The superb flight dynamics of Brian Horsey insure an easy to fly and land aircraft, and the spot and tower view frame rates are the highest you will find anywhere. Aircraft will work in FS2000 as well. This package includes the panel Dc4jcuv2.zip, and the two together comprise a combination that makes Val-U-Prop truly the airline where "No job is too small; No fee too large."
