FAA Douglas DC-4A (EC-54D)

File Description:
FAA Douglas DC-4A (EC-54D) Reg. ID N87, msn 22187, ex U.S. Army Air Force Douglas C-54D-15-DO Skymaster. Flight inspection aircraft of U.S. Federal Aviation Agency (1959-1967) in colors of 1963. Used as a calibrator for international flight inspection when checking and calibration navaids and instrument procedures, including ILS, VOR, DME, TACAN, NDB, various radars and airports. This repaint is dedicated to James E. Creed (+2001), who between 1956 and 1975 was a flight inspection pilot at CAA/FAA and later chief of FAA's flight inspection offices in Japan (Tokyo/Tachikawa) and Germany (Frankfurt/ Rhine-Main-office). Although Jim type rated in many aircraft the DC-4 was his favorite. His last DC-4 flights were with aircraft registered N87 on July 18/19/20 in 1963. Textures only. Australian National Airways Douglas DC-6

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) of Greg Pepper's and Tom Gibson's DC-6. You must have the original aircraft to use these textures. The original aircraft is available at www.Calclassic.com. This represents Australian National Airways DC-6 VH-INV as it would have appeared circa 1954. This aircraft was delivered new to National Airlines (USA) and purchased by ANA in 1953. It served with ANA and Ansett-ANA until 1960.

Qantas Airways Douglas DC-4-1009

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) of Jens Kristensen's fine DC-4. You must have Jens' DC-4/C-54 to use these textures. The original aircraft (dc4_v10.zip) is available at www.Avsim.com and www.Flightsim.com. This represents Qantas Airways DC-4-1009 VH-EBL as it would have appeared in 1954. It was not a converted C-54B but a post-war DC-4-1009. It was originally delivered to Trans Australia Airlines in 1946, sold to British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines in 1948 and purchased by Qantas in 1949. It was later sold to Ansett-ANA in 1961.

Trans Caribbean Airways Douglas DC-4

File Description:
Trans Caribbean Airways DC-4. This is Jens Kristensen's model repainted by Dave McQueen, April, 2006, textures only. The original aircraft is available at www.Avsim.com. You must download and install his DC-4 model for FS2004 to use these files. Look for DC4_V10.zip. Trans Caribbean operated from 1945 to 1971 starting out as a charter operator to San Juan, PR. It became a scheduled airline in 1957 and acquired jet airliners during the 1960s although it relied on charter and cargo operations primarily. TCA flew troop ferry flights from Travis AFB to Vietnam during the Vietnam War. TCA was purchased by American Airlines in 1971.

VARIG McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30

File Description:
FS2004 VARIG DC-10-30. The SGA DC10-30 aircraft offers dynamic flexing wings, which means you will see the wings flex up during takeoff, flex up and down on a hard landing or when encountering turbulence in-flight as affected by the current phase of flight and atmospheric conditions. Also with the assistance of a real world DC10 pilot, SGA have been able to realistically represent the aircraft's flight dynamics to a better degree than before.

Air Anglia Douglas DC-3's

File Description:
Air Anglia was founded on July 21, 1970, as an amalgamation of three companies, Norfolk Airways, Anglia Air Charter and Rig Air. The airline started life with one DC-3 (G-AMPZ) and no scheduled services. Soon after, the airline lodged application for its first scheduled service from Norwich to Edinburgh and Aberdeen. And, in October 1970, it announced its first service to the continent, linking Norwich with Rotterdam. To co-incide with the increasing network, the airline acquired three more DC-3's, G-ANTD, G-AOBN and G-AGJV. In 1972, the first jet-prop Fokker F27 Friendship arrived, and gradually these faster and more sophisticated aircraft replaced the DC-3s. G-AOBN and G-AMPZ were the first to be sold, with G-AGJV soldiering on flying scheduled weekday cargo service from Aberdeen - Amsterdam - Norwich and return. G-ANTD was broken up for spares at Norwich.
