SkyHigh Audio Simulations is proud to present what is quite possibly the most realistic sounding Pratt & Whitney JT3D-7 Turbofan sound pack available! This sound pack is designed to work with Historic Jetliners Group's Douglas DC-8-63 and Boeing 707-320C models. There are two versions of this sound pack, one interior point of view from the cockpit, and the other being the passenger cabin POV in front of the engines. This sound pack includes many unique and realistic features, including realistic 3D sound cones giving a very realistic exterior sound experience, especially in the fly-by view mode. Also using the cone technology, realistic distant taxi howling and distant rumbling sounds are included. The plane could be heard loud and clear from up to 2km away in tower view! Realistic start up sounds featuring external air cart compressor howling noises are included. Realistic interior ambience noises such as the inverter noise and touchdown, flaps, gear sound with chime, and more are featured in this sound pack. Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-7C - repainted Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-7C base pack with model, sound and panel from calclassic.com.
These textures depict N6354C (c/n 45111) originally delivered to BOAC as G-AOIA. From 1964 on she passed through several companys and travel clubs until 1979 when bought by Belize Air Cargo Inc. This company used the aircraft as freighter despite the absence of a freight door, mainly for meat transport. In 1981 she was seized in Colombia because of drug smuggling and pressed into service with the Fuerza Aerea Colombiana as FAC-923. Today this DC-7C is preserved in the Air Force Museum in Bogota.

File Description:
Trek Airways Operated two Douglas DC-4 Skymasters and they were acquired from the American airline Northwest Orient in December 1957. The two DC-4's were unusual in that they were never military C-54's and had been manufactured as civil airliners after the end of World War Two. The aircraft began service in April 1958. The European routes were operated with night stops at Entebbe and Cairo. ZS-CIG was destroyed by fire after a belly landing near Assiout, Egypt, on September 9, 1960. There were no injuries to the passengers or crew. Textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's Douglas DC-4 model, repainted by Dave McQueen (DC4_V30.ZIP). This repaint by Andre Reimers.

| Riddle Airlines DC-7CF 1961 |

This is a repaint of the Riddle Airlines DC-7CF. The freeware CalClassic DC-7F by Greg Pepper and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. In comparison with the DC-6 of which only 3 were operated by the airline, Riddle Airlines (and Airlift) had a love affair with the DC-7. In fact, the Riddle/Airlift group utilized a total of 28 DC-7s from 1960 to 1970. Interestingly, on March 15 1961, a DC-7CF completed a record 6,307 mile nonstop commercial flight from Tokyo to Chicago in 20 hrs. 30 min. This repaint is of N296, which was with Riddle from 1961 to 1963. Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FS2004, FSX & P3D v1-3, and FS2004.

File Description:
In my search for sounds that would be (nearly) matching the real sounds of the Douglas C-54/DC-4 and the Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvair (vehicle ferry conversion of the C-54 and DC-4), I struck on the DC-3 Sound Pack compiled
by Des Braban several years ago. Although intended as a DC-3 sound set, it doesn't quite sound like the Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp C-series (aka R-1830) engines which powered the majority of the DC-3/C-47/C-53 aircraft. Instead it sounds much more like the Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp D-series (aka R-2000) engines which powered the C-54/DC-4 and, later on, the Pan American converted Hi-Per DC-3, the EC-47Q, the DHC-4 Caribou and ATL.98 Carvair. In order to make the sound set appropriate for the four engined C-54/DC-4/Carvair, I slightly altered the sound.cfg by just doubling the number of engines and copying some existing lines. Nothing else has been changed. All the wav files remained unaltered and no wav files have been added. The result, however, is a full sound which is very close to that of the real C-54/DC-4/Carvair. In order to get the proper sound, you will require Des Braban's DC-3 Sound Package (dc3sndpk.zip). Original sound.cfg by Des Braban; revised for Douglas DC-4/C-54 and Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvair by Maarten Brouwer.

These are repaints to complete the Retro AI Group's 1987 Hawaiian Air flightplans. This file utilizes the AIA DC-9-10 and MD-80, and the DWAI DHC-7 and DC-8-62. There are 2 variations of the MD-80 as one was being flown around in a white livery at the time. The L-1011 and DC-9-50 are already availble on Avsim. Links to models and other textures included. | DC-3 Taxi throttle Control |

File Description:
This package offers a modification to the "hard to steer" Douglas DC-3. The DC-3 relies on differential braking and power to taxi properly. This package is for those pilots without dual throttle controls. It uses the rudder deflection to apply proportional differential power under the appropriate circumstances. Documentation is included. It will work with the Default Microsoft DC-3, the C-47 by Beaumont & Bitzer (shown), or other twin engine tail draggers that are hard to steer.
