To cover for a capacity shortage, Alidair leased this Viscount 806 from the Cambrian division of British Airways. With the BA logo and name covered over and simple Alidair titles added, this aircraft was in use betweeen February and April 1975. Requires the FSDS Viscount 800 model by Rick Piper.

File Description:
The Majority of the e-mails i got were asking for a flight used by British Airways to New York (JFK). This flight plan is 100% accurate, i can't say that often, but the information I got was from Flight aware, and all the way points I entered into the FMC it took. I have also included FMC information (Cost index, Reserves, Cruise alt, V1, e.t.c.) The flight is called BA-282, British Airways uses 5 747's to and from New York everyday! In the early 1990s before the emergence of alliances British Airways bought a stake in US Air with the goal of improved connections and greater share of the internal US market. As a result of this three of US Air 767-200s were painted in British Airways livery, used the BA call sign "Speedbird" and had US Air crews trained to BA standards for three routes into LGW from BWI, CLT and PHL. Eventually the alliance collapsed and BA formed and alliance with American Airlines who are now ironically trying to merge with US Air's successor US Airways.
