File Description:
The Sukhoi Su-27 is a one-seat Mach-2 class jet fighter originally manufactured by the Soviet Union, and designed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau.
The Su-27 basic design is aerodynamically similar to the MiG-29, but it is substantially larger. It is a very large aircraft, and to minimize its weight its structure has a high percentage of titanium (about 30%, more than any of its contemporaries). No composite materials were used. The swept wing blends into the fuselage at the leading edge extensions and is essentially a delta, although the tips are cropped for wingtip missile rails or ECM pods. The Su-27 is not a true delta, however, because it retains conventional tailplanes, with two vertical tailfins outboard of the engines, supplemented by two fold-down ventral fins for additional lateral stability.

Sukhoi Su-24 Fencer (Part 4). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this cold warrior of military jet history, which still soldiers on as a formidable strike aircraft. The Su-24, nicknamed "Chemodahn" (Suitcase) by its pilots, went into production in 1975, with around 1,400 built. The Fencer has evolved into a potent low-level deep-interdiction strike aircraft in the same role as the F-111 and the Tornado. The aircraft has served or continues to serve the air forces of a dozen countries. An original 9-LOD model brings this capable aircraft to the flightsim world. This package represents the Su-24MK Fencer-D (early/late variants) and Su-24MRK Fencer-E, in current or past service with all export users; with a total of 15 models and 51 repaints. Just over 1,000 were built in various models, and have been or are operated by thirty countries. An original 8-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This is part 6, combined with Parts 4 and 5, representing the Su-25 in all operational models (Su-25, Su-25M1, Su-25T, Su-25UB, Su-25UTG), in the past and current service of all export or Soviet successor states excluding the export users in part 1; with 34 models and 247 repaints. For those who only want one era or the other in their flightsim world, a detailed explanation of current or past users is in the documentation.
