X3ER - RAF East Wretham - Norfolk, England Download

File Description:
RAF East Wretham (ICAO X3ER) is a former Royal Air Force station located 6 miles (9.7 km) northeast of Thetford, Norfolk, England. East Wretham airfield was hurriedly brought into service during the early years of World War II as a satellite airfield with No. 311 (Czech) Squadron dispersed there from RAF Honington on 29 July 1940. A more permanent allocation followed in September. The squadron operated their bombers from the airfield until April 1942 when it transferred to Coastal Command. Later, RAF Bomber Command No. 115 Squadron RAF, operating Vickers Wellington Mk IIIs and later Avro Lancasters, occupied the airfield from November 1942. A plan to turn East Wretham into a "Class A" airfield was not carried through, the bomber unit moved to Little Snoring and the station turned over to the USAAF for fighter operations and in October 1943, was assigned USAAF designation Station 133 and was allocated to the United States Army Air Forces Eighth Air Force.

BA Cityflyer Summer 2014 including Repaints Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
These are the complete Summer 2014 flight plans for BA Cityflyer. I have used the actual real-world rotations and flight times for the week 6-12 April 2014, meaning that you also get real-world delays and cancellations. The beginning of the summer schedule has been a bit of a delightful mess, with as many as five wet leased aircraft operating. I have invented a couple of positioning flights to make it all work in a one-week pattern. Given the many wet leases, you'll need three new repaints which I include, created for the occasion: WDL Aviation BAe 146-300; Cello Aviation Avro RJ85; and Eastern Airways Saab 2000, white with BA titles. The 146 and RJ85 use Fernando Martinez' models, and the Saab 2000 uses The Fruit Stand model. BA Cityflyer uses alphanumeric callsigns which we are not able to reproduce in Flight Simulator, so I have used the commercial flight numbers throughout. Enjoy!

Stereo Sound Upgrade for Bristol Hercules Engines Download

File Description:
This stereo sound upgrade of Harry Follas's Bristol Hercules piston-engine sounds for FS98 was created primarily for use with the Handley Page Hermes by Georg Hauzenberger, but should work well with any aircraft that was fitted with these engines. This includes aircraft such as the Handley Page Hastings, Grumman Albatross, Nord Noratlas, Vickers Viking, Short Solent, Avro Lancaster (Mk2 models) and the Bristol Beaufighter. By converting the sounds to FS2004 multiple-engine stereo, the engines now emit a realistic piston-engine roar at full throttle, but this quietens down to a more subtle sound in cruise. Other associated sounds have been added - ehgine startup, shutdown and wind effects in flight. Touchdown effects will now detect if the aircraft is landing on ground or water so you can comfortably use these sounds with amphibious aircraft. Requires original FS98 soundpack by Harry Follas hercsnd.zip (the files are also distributed with the Handley Page Hermes and Hastings models and probably others too.

Douglas DC-6 sound.cfg V.3 Download

File Description:
This sound.cfg replaces the one uploaded in August 2008. Both the interior and exterior sounds have been improved. Please replace the sound.cfg you already downloaded by this new one. In my search for a good sound for the Douglas DC-6/-6A/-6B/-6C, XC-112A/YC-112A, VC-118, the C-118A/R6D-1 series and the Canadair C-5, I struck on the fabulous soundpack for the beautiful Douglas A-26 Invader of Milton Shupe and the Sim-Outhouse Team, made by David C. Copley. Most of the wav-files in this soundpack are recordings of the Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp R-2800 engines of an A-26 Invader. Having studied the Invaders sound pack, I discovered that by ‘tweaking’ the sound.cfg, particularly with regard to the exterior sounds, it became possible to develop a good exterior DC-6 sound (4 engines). No changes were made to the wav-files, as I didn’t want to modify them; the wav-files just sound wonderful. In order to make your system reproduce the DC-6 sound, first download from www.sim-outhouse.com the great Douglas A-26 Invader package and enjoy flying that plane. Then copy the sound pack of the A-26 to the DC-6, and replace the existing sound.cfg by the revised one you just downloaded. This DC-6 sound has been tested in FS2004 only. Special thanks to David C. Copley who gave his permission to upload the modified sound.cfg as freeware, with limited distribution, at Sim-Outhouse.com and Avsim.com. Many thanks also to Milton Shupe and to Wayne Tudor for his advise. Author of the original sound pack: David C. Copley. Modified sound.cfg: Maarten Brouwer.

Project Airlift (Aardvark) C-9B USN VR-52 #1 Download

File Description:
VR-52 flies 4 C-9B/D aircraft out of Willow Grove Joint Reserve Base in Pennsylvania. Project Airlift flightplans and AFCADs are available to support this paint. Thanks go out to Rich Fedorco for painting this livery and to AI Aardvark for providing a model that would rather "kill the enemy" than kill your videocard.
