It shows DH-89B ZK-AKU (cn 6662), which was the last of the original three Rapides of Union Airways to open up the Cook Strait services after WW II. It is flew in NZNAC service, named "Tawaka". It was sold to D. Gray, Auckland in 1968. It took part in the London to Sydney Air Race in 1969, and remained at Bankstown for a while following the race, during which time Greg Banfield took the third shot below early on the morning of 5 January 1970. ZK-AKU is currently still airworthy and based at Ardmore. It is now painted as "warbird" NZ528, its RNZAF serial during the war.. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Dave garwood

| Sudwestflug Douglas DC-6B |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-6B in Sudwestflug colors. The freeware Cal Classic DC-6B by Greg Pepper and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. The German charter operator Südwestflug was founded in 1964 as a sort of feeder company for the company Contracta GmbH & Co KG. This company was active in the holiday home industry which built and sold their houses in Spain. To promote the homes to potential clients, they purchased the first of ultimately three DC-6B airliners in September 1965. Deficiencies found in the maintenance of the machines led to the start of a ban, and a negative image of the airline. The German newspapers wrote at that time of the "Wild Westflug", which was quite damaging. In order to avert an impending bankruptcy, they decided to make a far-reaching change in their image and changed their name to Germanair on 28 October 1968. They operated 3 DC-6Bs under their tenure. This repaint depicts D-ABAH. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FS2004, FSX & P3D v1-3.

It was dameaged from a ground fuel explosion in Exter in 1961, but restored again. It went to the US in 1969, where it became N238V, returning to the UK again in 1979. It was last flown as NH238/D-A, but it was removed from the registry in 2002. It is rumored to be in storage at Greenham Common. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for P3Dv4.5 PBR version of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47 #36 of the French Navy (Aeronavale). Originally c/n9798 42-23936 it flew with the USAAF in North Africa and later in the ETO. It took part in D-Day, Market Garden and Operation Varsity, dropping parachutists. After WW2 it went to Ceskoslovenske Aeroline as OK-WDU and between 1958 and 1983 with the French navy as #36. It later went to Stellair and Transvalair in France as F-GEOM, before going to the UK as G-OFON with Classic Airways and later Air Atlantique. After a stint with South Coast Airways, it went to the Aviodrome in the Netherlands in 2006, where unfortunately it was left outside without protection. When the Aviodrome went bankrupt it went to Classic Wings, who are currently restoring it for static display in the Museum in Overloon. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 for P3Dv4.5, with PBR, Rivet and bump detail by Ted (Tufun) Wolfgang."

| Iris F-16D VFC-12 'Saints' CAG Repaint Textures |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
These repaint textures are for the IRIS F-16D and depict US Navy VFC-13 'Saints' CAG #13 aircraft. I know the real CAG jet is a "C" model, but I figured the IRIS "D" jet would look good in black as well! I also added a BUNCH of 'custom' items to the jet to make it look more realistic. I added a BUNCH of little extras to this repaint to make it look more realistic. For example, I upgraded the wingtip missile rails for the CLEAN model, custom painted the GE engine nozzle to look like the "Pratt & Whitney" on the real jet, modified the weapons texture file so that the AIM-9's appear all-blue like they do on the real jet, plus the GBU's and LGB's will be "dummy/inert blue" as well. I also customized the pilot textures and added a mirrored/reflective helmet visor. Plus, since the VFC-13 pilots wear either Desert Tan or OD Green flight suits, I made textures for both and you can choose your preference.

File Description:
Indian Air Force Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-27 Bahadur. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model and texture package for this classic (and still-serving) Russian multi-role fighter. The MiG-27, with just under 1,100 built, was a follow-on production variant of the MiG-23BN ground-attack version. The Flogger-D (and later -J), nicknamed the "Crocodile" for its flattened nose, was and still is a dedicated close air support and short-range strike/interdiction aircraft, comparable to the SEPECAT Jaguar. The MIG-27 has served in multiple conflicts in Europe and Asia. The MiG-27 entered service in 1975, was eventually operated by 5 countries, and is still in service in 3 of them. An original 8-LOD model brings this aircraft to the flightsim world. This package contains the MiG-2UB Flogger-C and HAL-assembled MiG-27M/ML Bahadur in a current-use stand-alone AI model/repaint package; with 16 models and 122 repaints. Original aircraft model, afterburner effects, flight dynamics, and textures by Michael Pearson. Please read included documentation for credits and disclaimers.
