Itapemirim Cargo 1998 AI Package

File Description:
Itapemirim Cargo flew brightly painted 727s across Brazil and up to Mexico from 1991-2000. These plans are representative and valid for most of the airlines years of operation. As such, they have been included separately to fit into whatever part of the 1990s you wish to use, as the Caravan operation was very short lived and separate. Asiana Airlines 1998 AI Package

File Description:
Asiana and Korean Air had full control of the Korean domestic market in 1998 as South Korea's only 2 scheduled airlines, making them appear at the vast majority of Korean airports. 737-500s were exiting the fleet, with only 3 remaining, and the first A321 had just come online. International routes were flown by 747-400 Combis or 767-300s, with several "tag on" routes onward from Seoul. Asiana served many commercial airports in Japan with 737-400s at the time, and is an important part of the Japanese traffic as well. The carrier had 2 737-500s and it's first A321 painted in a special "Experimental Color Scheme"(EC), and this is represented in the flightplans. One 737-500 also remained in a slightly different older livery dubbed as the "1994" colors, while the rest of the fleet had been modified to the "1998" colors. As a BONUS, ranmori has painted the 747-400, 747-400M and 737-400 in the 1994 livery for use with those flightplans, though there is no use for them in these 1998 plans. Repaints included for the FAIB 737-400, 737-500, 767-300, 747-400, and A321. All repaints were done by the very talented Ranmori Scythe, flightplans done by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson. China Airlines 1998 AI Package

File Description:
China Airlines had almost completely repainted the fleet by 1998, in these flightplans there is only 1 A300s left in the old livery. China Airlines rushed the repaint of their fleet as the Taiwanese flag on the old colors was not allowed in HKG after the 1997 hand over from England making Hong Kong a Chinese Territory. As such, the old colors were gone by 1998. The 737-400s were still very much active, but were very near the end of their lives with China Airlines retired by 1999 or so. The 737-400s do some regional international routes, and also high frequency KHH-TSA flights and a few TPE-KHH flights. Only 2 747-200s left, mostly flying to HND, and the A300-600R is the backbone of the fleet with a handful of A300B4s still flying. The 747SPs all were at Mandarin by 1998. At this time, and Mandarin aircraft often subbed for China Airlines 747-400s and MD-11s using the "DYNASTY" callsign. I have included an MD-11 in Mandarin colors operating China Airlines flights, I recommend you make a separate aircraft.cfg entry for the Mandarin MD-11 aircraft with the "DYNASTY" callsign and "CAL" parking code for realism. Repaints by Ranmori Scythe for the FAIB 737-400, 747-200, 747-400, FSPX MD-11, and TFS A300B4 and A300-600R are included. As a bonus, textures are also included for the FAIB 737-800(which entered the fleet in 1999) and the old colors on the FAIB 747-400(discontinued by 1997). Feel free to use the 737-400 instead of the 737-800 if you wish. All repaints were done by the very talented Ranmori Scythe and flightplans were done by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson. Continental Micronesia 1998 AI Package

File Description:
Continental Mircronesia was Continental's Guam-based Pacific operation. In 1998, CMI had 3 747-200s and 16 727s (10 pax+ 6 flying DHL cargo), and was also using 4 Continental 757s to cover routes from GUM. The 747s mostly fly between NRT/GUM/HNL and spend their down time at the HNL maintenance base, but they also flew charters to OKJ and SDJ which are represented in these plans. The 727s fly all over the Pacific, serving most every large city in Japan as well as TPE, CNS, and the 7-stop GUM-HNL "milk run", flown twice weekly. The cargo plans for the 727s are representitive and also serve much the the Pacific reaching as far as Australia. I created arrival and departure banks most days so the planes often arrive back to GUM in the middle of the night around the same time. The "Micronesia" titles were removed from the last DC-10-30 in March 1998, after which time all DC-10s wore the standard Continental livery as did the 757-200s while using the CMI codes and callsigns. Currently, there is no Continental Micronesia DC-10 AI paint, but links to all relevant paints are included as well as Ranmori Scythe's FAIB 747-200 PW texture. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Yana Airlines 1999 AI Package

File Description:
Yana Airlines was a short-lived Cambodian Airline which started up at the start of 1999 to connect Phenom Phen with Singapore, Indonesia and China with a pair of IL-62Ms. The airline quickly lost money, and a group of Australian business men re-organized the carrier in 2002 after the fall lof Royal Air Cambodge to attempt to gain that carriers lost market share. They were unsuccessful and the airline shut down on 16OCT2003. Note that this airline served Guangzhou(ZGGG) which was using the old airport at the time which closed in 2003, and flights are assigned ZGGX to use that old airport, so you'll need to change them if you wish to use the current airport(for which a 1998 scenery will be released in the coming months). GTI Airlines 1998 AI Package

File Description:
The Turkish charter airline 'GTI Airlines' was formed in 1996 by the travel organisations Kayi Tours from Turkey and German Travel International. The airline offered charters both from Germany and other nations to Turkish resort cities and from large turkish cities to other holiday destinations. In february 1998 the airline was sold and renamed Air Anatolia. GTI Airlines flew an "all-widebody"-fleet of only three Airbus A300 aircraft: one B2 and two B4s. The first A300 was delivered to the airline in 1996, the other two followed in 1997. Fleet repaints for the TFS A300B2\B4 GE by Chasen Richardson are included, including how the aircraft looked in 1997 in case you plan to have different traffic periods in your sim or otherwise to pick which you prefer using. TAM Express 1998 AI Package

File Description:
TAM Express was the regional subsidiary of TAM, operating a large fleet of Cessna Caravans connecting the major hubs with small cities across Brazil. The Caravans operated in full TAM colors and filled CGH and other busy airports while making multi-stop trips across the country of Brazil that sometimes went on for the better part of the day. Southeast Airlines 1999 AI Package

File Description:
Southeast Airlines was the late 1998 re-start of Sun Jet International which was a US scheduled carrier that had gone bankrupt in 1997. The airline's livery featured the revival of National Airlines' "Sun King" logo, and the ICAO code and callsign reflected this logo. In contrast to their past, the airline came back as a charter carrier with contracts with tour operators. Most of the charters were between Florida Beach cities or Cruise ports and cities in the Southeast USA. Initially, the airline had a single DC-9-30, but a 2nd was added in July 1999. In 2000, the airline grew and started preforming some sports and private charters and charters to the Western US. MD-80s arrived in 2001, and the airline failed soon after in 2004. Qatar Airways 1998 AI Package

File Description:
Qatar Airways was only 4 years old in 1998, however, the fleet was already quite different and the livery had changed into the grey colors. The 2 747-200s were gone, having been leased out to Saudia for Hadji flights and never returning, and A300-600Rs had replaced the A310s (A310s would later rejoin for VIP and Freight ops). At the time, London and Munich were the only destinations in Europe and Asia was not served beyond India. Though the fleet was small in 1998, the airline would quickly grow into a large a reputable carrier which now spans the globe and even operates A380s despite the humble beginnings not so long ago!
