Puzzle - QANTAS 707 VH-XBA departs Canberra

File Description:
A 345-piece puzzle, created with Tibo Software's Jigs@w Puzzle 2. Boeing 707 VH-XBA is the very first 707 received by QANTAS. In fact, it was the first export of any 707 to an international air carrier. The aircraft was restored during the period 2003 - 2006 and is now on permanent display in the QANTAS museum at Longreach, Queensland. However, before being retired permanently, it undertook a visit to Australia's main centres and is shown here departing its last port-of-call, Canberra, on Friday 8th. June 2007, for Longreach. No other files are needed and a ReadMe with the simple instructions is included.

Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat VF-27 Skin Pack V2

File Description:
UPDATED 01/07/2007. This is a updated skin pack from my previous upload. These textures were created with a new template and have better alpha textures, also there is less dirt than the previous versions. This is a repaint skin pack (textures only) for the Payware CWDT F6F-3 Hellcat, found here: www.simarket.com. This pack contains 4 sets of repaints, representing 4 planes from the VF-27 aboard the USS Princeton, 1944. Thanks to CWDT for building this beautiful aircraft. The team has done a excellent job creating this bird! Please read the included read me for historical information on the planes and pilots.

Korean Air Lines Douglas DC-4 (1960s)

File Description:
This is a repaint of Korean Air Lines Douglas DC-4 of 1960s for Jens B. Kristensen's DC-4 V2.1. This color scheme was first introduced in 1962, when Korea Korean National Airlines (former National Airline of Korea) merged with government owned Korean Air Lines. This paint scheme was used until all the Douglas fleet (DC-3 and DC-4s) were phased out in mid 1970s. This aircraft(HL4003) was on lease from Japan, and returned at 1963. After return it was sold to Ansett-ANA and finally converted to Carvair ATL-98. It operated for a 'Brooks Fuel' until 2003, But unfortunately crashed near McGrath, AK, 2007.

File Description:
Improved and updated AFCAD for the fabulous Aerosoft scenery "Cologne/Bonn Airport" (payware). You will find all airlines at their respective gates as of September 2007. It includes passengers airlines, cargo, GA and military gates. Made from various sources (maps, charts and pictures) including the official airport Web site. All Flight Plans and aircraft are available for free from sites like AVSIM or can be used with payware softwares like Ultimate Trafic (recommended). For a life like trafic see my other AFCAD file for the military helicopters operations (5DDK). Screen shots are included to show you the result you can achieve with a little effort.

Island in the Sky Douglas C-47 Skytrain USAF 'Corsair'

File Description:
Based on original textures by Jan Visser, this texture set is a representation of the fictional USAF C-47 flown by John Wayne as Dooley in the 1953 classic film, "Island in the Sky". It is intended to complement an article written by Harold "Farmboyzim" Zimmer for the December 2007 issue of "Computer Pilot" magazine. Harold's review of "Island in the Sky" can be found at http://farmboyzimsflightsims.com/IslandintheSky_film_review.html. The texture set requires the base R4D-6/DC-3A package available from Mid Atlantic Air Museum Simulations (MAAM-SIM) at www.maam.org, together with two subsequent free C-47 enhancements to that product. Laker Airways was formed by Sir Freddie Laker in 1966. In 1977 it became the world's first long-haul, low-cost, "no frills" airline with Skytrain between Gatwick & JFK.
