It shows Grumman Goose ZK-DFC (c/n B-104), in the colors it wore between 1972 and 1976, when it was flying with Mount Cook Airlines, based in Auckland, New Zealand. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by the OZx team.

Alcantarilla hosts a Base of the Ejército del Aire de España. Paratroopers are trained here, and there is also a squadron of CASA C-212 Aviocar light transport planes based at the airfield.
Designed using AENA charts from AIP Spain and Google maps for precise GPS positioning of the airfield. Updated navdata to AIRAC 1901 including TACAN TRL (116.60).
