This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of MATS 43-16062, which crashed at Isachsen weather station on Ellef Ringnes Island, Nunavut, Canada in 1949. This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47A N54705 of PanAm, which was built in 1942 as c/n #12844 serial 42-92983. The aircraft was used as an instrument laboratory for new innovations and wasn’t officially handed over to the USAAF until March 24, 1944. On March 16, 1946 the aircraft was sold as surplus to Pan American Airways and registered as N54705. The aircraft was
used mostly on South American routes until June 19, 1960 when it was sold to Spantax S.A. of Spain. I have painted it in the Blue Ball Scheme it wore between 1957 and 1960 while with Pan Am. The aircraft was last seen as a derelict at Alicante, Spain. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 version 3.14, based on the paintkit by Gman5250.

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft PBY Catalina for FSX. It is shown here as C-FCRR, with Air France colors. Built by Boeing of Canada at Vancouver, it became RCAF Canso 9767 on March 4, 1943, and was allocated to Squadron 162, coded S, at Reykjavik, Iceland. In 1944, piloted by Flying Officers Thomas Charles Cooke and Eric Walter Wiskin, 9767 sank the German U-boat U-342 off the coast of Iceland on April 17. The amphibian was removed from the military service on April 1, 1946. The same year it was sold to Canadian Pacific Airlines, registered CF-CRR and assigned fleet number 233 (later 933), it was operated until 1959, thereafter by Northland Airlines (1960-1968), Midwest Airlines (1969-1970), and Ilford Riverton until 1973. The registration was changed to C-FCRR when Avalon Aviation acquired it as a water bomber in 1977, listed as Tanker number 791.
In 1995 the aircraft was bought by Powell Eorp. Of Parry Sound, Ontario, subsequently it was owned by the Canadian Air Legend. The French pilot Franklin Devaux bought C-FCRR in 1995 and converted it to a flying television studio, it was based at Le Bourget, Paris, France. During 1996 C-FCRR was the star of monthly French television programme Operation Okavango, while in September 1998 it was the eye catcher of the three-week Champs-Elysees (Paris) static air show. The following October the aircraft started an 8,078 mls (13,000 km) trip to Chile via Dakar (Senegal) and Natal (Brazil) to commemorate early Air France South Atlantic mail service, returning to France in June 1999. On January 19, 2002 the aircraft was stored at Orly Airport, Paris, and has not flown since. Its Canadian registration was cancelled on October 7, 2005. File Description:
The C-17 Globemaster III/ER is a heavy cargo aircraft used by several foreign militaries, but primarily the U.S. Air Force. She is designed to do many things that other cargo aircraft cannot, based on her unique design. This version incorporates the extended range fuel tanks. The real world aircraft can actually use reverse thrust in flight, up to 100% reverse power, during descents or on the ground. It is also the only heavy aircraft in the world with a wing efficiency factor over 1.0, which is theoretically impossible, but true. All of the dynamics in this model are correct down to the inch, so she does almost everything the real aircraft does. Some things are not possible in FSX, including reverse thrust while in flight, but full flaps/slats employed in a steep descent will adequately simulate this effect without damage to the model while in flight. The landing gear are authentic and capable of heavy loads. The weight and balance is authentic. The fuel tanks are authentic. The aircraft name, tail number, location, and callsign are authentic. The calculated range(s) listed are all authentic, understanding that most public data released is based on average range, at average altitude, and normal payload missions. The sound is authentic. The engine dynamics are authentic. The panel used is the best I could find, is fairly authentic, and requires some pre-flight study before flight. All-in-All the aircraft is very simple to fly, but requires some study to operate correctly, so I recommend all simmers watch as many "You Tube" videos, read as many authentic sites, and study as much as possible about this aircraft before operation. This is a repaint of the C-46 in Riddle Airlines 1959 colors. The freeware C-46 by Libardo Guzman and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. Riddle Airlines was a a non scheduled carrier, which mainly focused on cargo flights, but passenger flights were also offered. It was founded in 1945 by John P. Riddle,who flew contract flights between Miami and Brazil during WW2. The airline was based at Miami. In late summer 1945, passenger and freight services were inaugurated between New York City and Puerto Rico. It expaned it's network to all of the Americas and the Carribean in the following years. Due to financial difficulties faced by most cargo carriers in ther 1950s, Riddle also accepted both civilian and military contracts and strengthened its fleet whenever possible. However, Riddle continued to face deep financial troubles, and in June 1962 all services were suspended. This crisis led to a reorganization of the airline in July 1962 under an entirely new management team, and the airline was back in the air thereafter. On November 29 of that year, Riddle was renamed Airlift International. This Riddle C-46, N74178, flew with the airline from 1960 to 1963. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. Textures are 32bit bmp. It should work on FSX, P3D v1-3, & FS2004.

This is a repaint of the C-46 in Airlift International 1965 colors. The freeware C-46 by Libardo Guzman and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. My previous uploads were the of Riddle Airline's fleet. This is a continuation of that airline's affairs. Riddle Airlines faced financial difficulties and in June 1962 all services were suspended. This crisis led to a reorganization of the airline in July 1962, under an entirely new management team. Subsequently, the airline was renamed Airlift International on November 29, 1963, and the corporate takeover took effect in March 1964. Airlift, got off on the right foot as they received 31 of Riddle's aircraft. They started international operations to Rome and Milan with their solo DC-8F aircraft, with another DC-8F joining the fleet in June 1964. By 1965 Airlift was on cloud nine as they earned and a net profit of $1,744,907. In 1966 they were able to take over Slick Airways, itself a big cargo carrier. In fact, it was previously the largest all-cargo airline in the USA, in 1951. Also, in 1966 they recorded a net profit of $3 million dollars. Airlift went from strength to strength, posting profits, and enhancing the quality of their fleet. In 1967 they received L-100 Hercules, 727-172Cs, and 707-365Cs. In 1970 however, they had a downturn due to the U.S. recession, and cutbacks in Vietnam airlift operations. For Airlift the 1970s did not allow them to reach the heights of the 1960s. They battled on, but financial problems plagued them that by 1981 Airlift had no physical assets and only $44,000 in cash on hand. They almost collapsed that year, but with restructuring, and a few ups and downs, they survived until 1993, when they eventually ceased operations. This repaint is of an Airlift C-46 (N75388) which was with the airline from 1956 to 1966.Airlift International had a lot of C-46s in their fleet over the years, 48 in total. N75388 was with Airlift from 1963 to 1966. Before that it was with Riddle Airlines from 1956 to 1963. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. Textures are 32bit bmp. It should work on FSX, P3D v1-3, & FS2004.
