File Description:
RAF Aldermaston (ICAO X2AM) is a former Royal Air Force station located 8 miles (13 km) east of Newbury, Berkshire and 9.8 miles (15.8 km) southwest of Reading, Berkshire, England.
Originally built as an RAF Bomber Command airfield during 1941-1942, Aldermaston was transferred to the United States Army Air Forces in August 1942.
Placed under the jurisdiction of Eighth Air Force, it was home to several Douglas C-47 Skytrain Troop Carrier Groups. It was transferred to Ninth Air Force in 1943 primarily as a Troop Carrier Command base. Returned to RAF Control at the end of 1945, it was used by Technical Training Command before being placed on Care and Maintenance. In 1946, it was transferred to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and used by BOAC aircraft for training.
Also used by the Ministry of Aircraft Production for Supermarine Spitfire assembly and flight testing, the airfield closed in 1950 and the site became home of the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment (later the Atomic Weapons Establishment) from 1950.

| Dutch Navy Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon |

Featured is Royal Netherlands Navy 19-10, ex-US Navy BuNo 37260, Lockheed c/n 15-1226. VSQ320 at Valkenburg operated 18 PV-2s under MDAP (Mutual Defense Assistance Program) from September 1951 till December 1953, when they were replaced by Lockheed P2V-5 Neptunes. The Harpoons were not only used for maritime reconnaissance during their short career in Dutch service. Search and rescue was another main task, and particularly in February 1953 during the tidal flooding of the Southwest of the Netherlands they played a vital role in the rescue and supply operations (food for people and live stock, empty sandbags, etc.). 19-10 served from 29 September 1951 till 16 November 1953 with VSQ320 and then till June 1954 with VSQ8 (Search and Rescue). Like her 17 sister ships she then moved to the Portuguese Navy. You will require Milton Shupe and Team's FS2004 or FSX Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon (harpfs9v13.zip resp. harpfsxv13.zip). This folder contains a repaint for the Lionheart Fairchild 24, in the colors of VH-ALF.This aircraft (c/n 339) was built with the USAAC serial of 42-32134, and was shipped as part of the Lend Lease program to the U.K. becoming FK330. In 1948 it was civilianized as G-AKJL. It was first registered in Australia in July, 1951. Interestingly, the site athttp://home.att.net/~jbaugher/1942_2.html states that it was returned to the USA in 1947. That being the case, did the USA state that they didn't want it, and return it to the U.K. again? If not, how then did it get to be registered in the the U.K. in 1948? Or maybe it WAS to have been returned but did not. Anyway, it was back at Lithgow, NSW in May 1973. At present, it is painted in a "war bird" livery, based at Wedderburn, NSW. Incidentaly, since this machine was an Argus I with the RAF it is extremely unlikely that it ever bore USAAF markings. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Lionheart Creations.

| Portuguese Air Force Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon |

Featured is Forca Aerea Portuguesa 4626, ex-US Navy BuNo 37406, Lockheed c/n 15-1272. The FAP operated 42 PV-2s and PV-2D's under MDAP (Mutual Defense Assistance Program) from 1952 on in Portugal and its colonies in Africa where they were serving in a variety of rules. The FAP went into Portugal's colonial war already before the first two regular battalions of the Portuguese Army were disembarked in Luanda, on 1 May 1961. Reaching back on three already obsolete PV-2 Harpoon liaison and patrol aircraft, equipped as make-shift bombers (and later formed into Esquadra 91), and P2V-5 Neptunes, the FAP flew a number of attack sorties against various rebel concentrations. Throughout the COIN war, which ended in 25 April 1974 by a coup d'etat in Portugal, the Harpoon played a significant role. The end of the war marked the end of the Harpoon era in Portugal. You will require Milton Shupe and Team's FS2004 or FSX Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon (harpfs9v13.zip resp. harpfsxv13.zip). Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

| VARIG Boeing 737-33R (PP-VPX) |

File Description:
VARIG B.737-33R PP-VPX C/N 28870-2899, ex Western Pacific N965WP.
Two type B.737-33R were adquired by VARIG for his fleet from the ex Western Pacific.
VARIG fleet had differents variant of the Boeing 737'(B.737-2C3Adv,B.737-241,B.737-2K9,B.737-2Q8,B.737-219,B.737-33A,B.737-36N,B.737-3K9,B.737-341,B.737-3Q8,B.737-4YO,etc)and the planes are the workhorse of the route systeme of the airline.
I have included a serie of 90 Flights to the main national and international destinations,all served with 737 and the timetable and numbers flights are the rights one of this year 2004.
Many flights are corrected to be acomplished with the 737 and not the Douglas DC-10(out of service by VARIG long time ago and remplaced with the MD-11), today only a few remmants of DC-10 fly cargo services
with VARIG Logistica.
Also included a new complete revised AirFile for the 737-300 type(17-04-04).

| Hunter AAF & Tybee Island |

File Description:
Made from satilite photos, a fair representation of Hunter Army Air Field/CGAS Savannah, CGS Boat Station Tybee Island, Tybee Island lighthouse, ships, and Ft Pulaski, a Civil War Fort guarding the mouth of the Savannah River. Hunter AAF has most of the hangars on the main ramp represented with custom macros. Ramp is full of CH-47 Chinook, AH-64 Apache, HH-65 Dauphin helicopters and C-12 US Army Twin Props, as well as ground support vehicles. Tybee Island is under the approach to KSVN from the east and sits in the middle of the Savannah River. CGS Tybee Island is located there, a CG Boat Station with docks and a helipad (on the real tennis court location, sorry) and Ft Pulaski, a Civil War fort, the first duty station of a young Lt. Robert E. Lee, complete with cannons on the ramparts. Across the river in the town of Tybee Island is a working Tybee Island Lighthouse. Ramp statics can be easily removed if you prefer your own AI. Requires NOVA textures, a free download.

For Traffic 2004. TAROM ATR42-500 YR-ATA(C/N 566)ex F-WWLF. TAROM (Transporturile Aeriene Romane) is the official airline of Romania. One of the six ATR42´s active in the TAROM fleet for regional and some International services. His fleet after the restructuration in the early 90´s is today composed with 6 ATR-42-300 and 9 B.737-300 and 700 series(models B.737-38J,B.737-78J and one B.737-36Q).All 707´s and soviet types are now stored and out of service.The two A310 are in reserve and also out of service or saled the fleet of ROMBAC 1-11(BAC 1-11 build under licence by Romaero. TAROM ATR42 served national destinations(Cluj,Constanta,Tirgu Mures,Timisoara,Satu Mare,Oradea,Iasi,etc)with main hub located a Bucarest Otopeni Intl airport. I have included a serie of 64 TAROM flights, all served with the B.737-300´s and ATR42-500´s. Also included a new complete revised AirFile for the ATR42-500 type(23-04-04).

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Shockwave World War II Fighters P-51D Mustang. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by John Terrell. It is for FSX only, as it contains 2048 x 2048 textures. For FS9, look for my earlier "Sierra Sue II" repaint, which contains a low res version of this repaint.
This aircract represents a J-26 of the Royal Swedish Air Force. A/C 26152 was previously 44-63675 E6-D "Sierra Sue II" of the 402nd FS, USAAF, flown by Lt. Bob Bohna. She was sold to Sweden after the war and flew with with 3rd squadron of the F4 wing, based on the island of Froson, with Cpl Sten Soderquist as her regular pilot. In 1954, she was sold to Nicaragua were she flew with registration GN91. She came to the US in 1970 and is currently owned by Roger Christgau, who flies her as "Sierra Sue II / Gul Kalle". Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by John Terrell.
