File Description:
At long last my "Project 749" comes to fruition. Totally rebuilt from my earlier efforts, this new Connie features all new fuselage, wing/body fillet, cockpit, and most importantly, 3 rounded tails fins all with working rudders, no small feat I can assure you. Colors are of Capital airlines, callsign is "capital 860". There is some color bleed on the gear doors - required to get all the parts and working features needed, but its a small compromise. Performance matches actual speeds, with plenty of power, and this graceful lady of the skies will throttle back to correct cruise speed.

This file is for use with the excellent De Havilland Dh89a Dragon Rapide model (fs9_dh89.zip), by David Garwood, David Booker, Saverio Maurri, Brian Withers, and Mike Hambly (not included). It adds a fully functional autopilot, NAV1 radio, and VOR/glideslope head to the 2D panel. Additionally, a new "gauge" has been installed that toggles the windshield center frame from view, greatly improving visibility on final approach. This file was originally uploaded 6/26/2005.

An additional (Aer Lingus) hybrid for Air Jamaica is available through Brian Wheatley's retro traffic website. This package is for FSX/P3D only with 4096 DDS DXT5 textures, and can be installed as a copy-and-overwrite of my original FAIB repaint package. Pilatus PC6 Turbo for AI. It has 4 LODs and has been designed specifically to enhance GA traffic population for the marvellous GA-Traffic program by Marcus Brunner.
Constructed using FSDS v2.24 the main model has only 858 polygons and uses a single texture file to ensure that there is an absolute minimum impact on your framerates.
There are two texture files included.
Aircraft and textures by Mike Cronin. Original airfile by Brian Gladden.
