This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the colors of L049 G-AHEM 'Balmoral'of BOAC. It was originally built as a C69 (c/n 1978), but went to BOAC instead as G-AHEM 'Balmoral' in 1946. It was sold to Capitol Airlines as N2735A in 1954, and was written off after a crash landing in Charleston in 1959. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the colors of L749 G-ANUR of Euravia. It was built in 1947 with c/n 2565 and was first operated by Qantas as VH-EAB. Qantas sold it to BOAC, who registered it as G-ANUR in 1955. It went to Skyways in 1959, and when Skyways was taken over by Euravia in 1962, it was repainted in 1963 in the colors of this repaint. It went to the US in 1967, becoming N1949 and then to Uruguay as CX-BHC. It was last seen in Montevideo, and is believed to have been scrapped in 1970 after its operator, Aerolineas Uruguayas, went bankrupt. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the colors of L749 G-ALAK 'Brentford' of BOAC. It was originally built for TWA (c/n 2548), but went to Airlinte Eirann as EI-ACR in 1947. It was sold to BOAC in 1948, becoming G-ALAK. It was first leased and in 1962 sold to Skyways, which became Euravia in 1963. It was bought by Ace Freighters in 1965. After they went bankrupt, several sales fell through, but in 1968 it was flown to Miami as CP-797 for Trans Bolivian. It then went to Peru as OB-R-899 with Copisa and used until Copisa stopped operations in 1971. It was probably scrapped in Lima. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

AEROVIAS QUISQUEYANA was founded in 1962 in the Dominican Republic. It's main activity has been cargo operations. For many it has been well known for its Constellation operations, althought it also operates B-707s. The HI-260 and HI-270 has been sold to TRADO during 1978 and used for spares.

File Description:
This is repaint of American Overseas Airlines Lockheed L-049. American Overseas Airline(AOA)s was subsidiary airlines of American Airlines operating International Routes. 7 were ordered by AOA, and used mainly to United Kingdom, Germany, and Scandinavian Routes.
NC90923 "Flagship Great Britain" (later Flagship Scotland) was delivered to AOA in Mar.26, 1946 and is believed to be first AOA Connie at London Heathrow May 31st, 1946. As the company merged with Pan American World Airways in 1950. It was sold to PAA, later to Delta AIrlines (1956) and to American Flyer Airlines(1960). You'll need Manfred Jahn's L-749 to use this repaint.

| KLM Constellation - 1951 inaugural flight to Tokyo |

File Description:
On September 8, 1951 the peace documents between Japan and the Allies were signed. In the same year, KLM established a regular service between Amsterdam and Tokyo. The exact date of the inaugural flight is unknown, but the route to Tokyo is exact. Download and install the beautiful FSDZigns Lockheed 049A Constellation (filename: fsdzl049a_v1.zip) and enjoy! This file includes Connie's KLM version, PH-TAU ("Utrecht"), which is actually the aircraft that made this inaugural flight. (re-upload)

PAA Clipper Undaunted. N88855, Lockheed L-049 Constellation, Clipper Invincible, notes: C/n 2055, delivered to Pan Am on 22 April 1946. This Connie also carried the title Clipper Undaunted. TEXTURES ONLY. You need a legal copy of the WOS_L049 by A2A. "Pan American World Airways, known from its founding until 1950 as Pan American Airways[1] and commonly known as Pan Am, was the principal and largest international air carrier in the United States from 1927 until its collapse on December 4, 1991. Founded in 1927 as a scheduled air mail and passenger service operating between Key West, Florida, and Havana, Cuba, the airline became a major company credited with many innovations that shaped the international airline industry, including the widespread use of jet aircraft, jumbo jets, and computerized reservation systems. It was also a founding member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the global airline industry association.[3] Identified by its blue globe logo ("The Blue Meatball"), the use of the word "Clipper" in aircraft names and call signs, and the white pilot uniform caps, the airline was a cultural icon of the 20th century. In an era dominated by flag carriers that were wholly or majority government-owned, it was also the unofficial overseas flag carrier of the United States. File Description:
This folder contains two repaints for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the first colors of 43-10310 of the USAAF. C/n 1962 was the one of the first C-69's delivered to the USAAF in 1943. It started flying in TWA colors in 1944, but with its military serial. It made a record breaking flight from Burbank to Washington DC on 17 April 1944, with Howard Hughes as pilot. It was allocated to Transcontinental & Western as NC38936, but remained on the USAAF inventory until 1947. It was then used for spares, but rebuilt in 1952 for Intercontinent Airways. It was written off after it caught fire in a belly landing at Burbank during a training flight. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

This folder contains two repaints for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the colors of 5Y-ABF of Britair. British East Africa Airways was formed by Captain Marian Kozubski in November 1964, formerly owner of Falcon Airways, as a charter company to operate IT charters from Europe to East Africa. One L-049 (G-AHEL) was bought from Euravia and registered 5Y-ABF. It operated every thee weeks on schedules from Rotterdam to Nairobi and Mombasa via Malta staring 20 December 1964. A fleet of four 049's were planned, but the airline suspended operations at the end of the summer of 1965, and only operated that aircraft. 5Y-ABF was finally scrapped in Shannon in 1966. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.
