This version depicts a brand new restored Connie and features modified smoke effects for more volume, exhaust flames at high MP, modified prop textures, matching stairs and stewardess and new executive interior with leather seats. This folder contains two repaints for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the colors of G-AHEL, before it went to Britair. British East Africa Airways was formed by Captain Marian Kozubski in November 1964, formerly owner of Falcon Airways, as a charter company to operate IT charters from Europe to East Africa. One L-049 (G-AHEL) was bought from Euravia and registered 5Y-ABF. It operated every thee weeks on schedules from Rotterdam to Nairobi and Mombasa via Malta staring 20 December 1964. A fleet of four 049's were planned, but the airline suspended operations at the end of the summer of 1965, and only operated that aircraft. 5Y-ABF/G-AHEL was finally scrapped in Shannon in 1966. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

Val-U-Prop adds this FS2002 update of Dave McQueen's FS2K classic to its fleet, with a mild repaint of his lovely Eastern Airlines Connie, complete with photographic panel, pilot's left and right side views, wing and cabin views, and stable, easy-to-fly flight dynamics. Cockpit, pilot and wing photos by Jonathan Derden, and authentic Connie cabin by Stephanie Pleschinger. Includes full lighting switches, including panel light, plus pop-up GPS and default radio stack. Gauges by James Underwood, Kevin Trinkle and Ernie Kennedy. The aircraft is brilliantly night-lit, with FS2002 nav/strobe/beacon and landing lights, and is a proud addition to the VP fleet. By James Underwood

Montreal-based Nordair used their four Constellations on charters to Europe, and scheduled flights to northern Canada between 1964 and 1969. Prior installation of the L-1049H Constellation (L1049H.zip) by Manfred Jahn, Hansjoerg Naegele, Roland Berger, Volker Boehme, Luis Pallas, Bill Tyne, Andreas Trapp, and Stefan Werner is required. Repaint by Wayne Sinker.

Panair do Brasil was one of the first companies and the main brazilian company until the decade of 1950. In March 1946 Panair received their first Lockheed L-049 Constellation, being the first airline outside the United States to operate this aircraft. File Description:
Dimensionally identical to the first-generation Constellation (L-049), the
post-war 749 had more powerful engines, additional fuel tanks, strengthened
landing gear, and much improved performance. Equally good for shuttle hops
and long-range flights, L-749 Connies entered service with major 1950s
carriers such as Eastern, TWA, B.O.A.C., Air France, KLM, Quantas, and many
others. Another customer was the Air Force, which placed an order for ten
aircraft (designated C-121A) in 1948.
Included in this sim package are seven
models and five textures, covering variants with and without "Speedpak"
cargo pannier, weather radar, and "jetstack" exhausts. KLM texture by Jaap
de Baare (representing "Flevoland", the last 749 in flying condition today).
TWA texture N6003C "Star of America" by Hans Herrmann. EAL, Air France, and
MATS textures by Manfred Jahn (including "8609", a frequent visitor to
airshows all over the world until 2005). Panel textures and additional
gauges by Diego S. Barreto, model and VC by Manfred Jahn, panels, gauges,
and animations by Hansjoerg Naegele, flight dynamics by Luis Pallas,
wingview angles, lights, and exhaust effects by Bill Tyne and Roland Berger,
checklist and documentation by Volker Boehme, flight test and handling
research by Stefan Werner. The 749 project has been hosted by Tom Gibson's
Calclassic forum at http://calclassic.proboards55.com.

File Description:
At long last my "Project 749" comes to fruition. Totally rebuilt from my earlier efforts, this new Connie features all new fuselage, wing/body fillet, cockpit, and most importantly, 3 rounded tails fins all with working rudders, no small feat I can assure you. Colors are of Capital airlines, callsign is "capital 860". There is some color bleed on the gear doors - required to get all the parts and working features needed, but its a small compromise. Performance matches actual speeds, with plenty of power, and this graceful lady of the skies will throttle back to correct cruise speed.

New version of previous MATS (Military Air Transport Service) Lockheed C-121A model by the same author (lockheed_c121a.zip, 2007). It is not necessary to remove previous plane, this will be placed as a new Aircraft model.
Highly improved Virtual Cockpit with 45 levers and switches, more than 100 other gauges, main and Flight Engineer commands etc, all working. This complexity has certain impact on rather sluggish instrument needles, but I hope it could be compensated by other flying qualities. For FS9 (FS2004), but can be used in FSX with some restrictions (FSX Note included). Lockheed C-121 with the "A" prefix was the military version of the L-749 model. The US Air Force ordered ten C-121As in 1948 but only nine were built.
