FS98/FS2000 Val-U-Prop Douglas DC-6
Val-U-Prop has now acquired an FS98 DC-6 - and it's a beauty. Based on the original work of Tom Gibson and Harry Follas, the aircraft has terrific flight dynamics (by Harry Follas), that are stable and easy to fly. Aircraft will work in FS98 or FS2000 as well. This package includes the panel Dc4jcuv2.zip, and the two together comprise a combination that makes Val-U-Prop truly the airline where "No job is too small; No fee too large." This repaint is of a C-54 circa 1953 in the livery of the Military Air Transport Service. MATS was a joint service transportation operation combining resources from the US Air Force, Army and Navy into a single coordinated airlift command serving all military branches. This skin requires the Jens B. Kristensen JBK DC-4 file (dc4_v21.zip). This file may be found on this and other popular FS web sites.

FS98 Val-U-Prop Douglas DC-4 Plane and Panel
The FS98 version of this package differs only from the FS2002 version in that it does not contain wing, side and cabin views. Also, a couple of gauges have been changed, including the addition of ACS-GPS (not included). Everything is on the main panel (except GPS) so no tabbing, and the aircraft has excellent flight dynamics by Brian Horsey. The panel is based upon the photographs of Bill Blanchard (main) and Mike of AirNikon (throttles). Aircraft has landing lights and is a fine addition to the Val-U-Prop fleet. This package will take you back to a time when pilots really flew, and the pace was leisurely. From originals by Tom Gibson, Harry Follas and Brian Horsey. By James Underwood

File Description:
These are official repaints for the virtual airline 'DC-3 Airways' and are intended primarily for use by 'DC-3 Airways' pilots. Visit 'DC-3 Airways' at www.dc3airways.com to learn more. This 1940's scheme is designed to be typical of the simple, yet stylish liveries that adorned the bare metal fuselages of pre and post WW-II civilian aircraft. This download includes two versions; a civilian-built DC-3 with Wright Cyclone engines and a C-47 conversion in cargo configuration powered by Pratt & Whitneys. Based on Jan Visser's legendary DC-3 model for FS2000, updated for FS2002, both models include transparent cabin windows, nightlighting and a 3D interior. The passenger aircraft has a folding stair door and appropriate cabin; the cargo version has double doors and DC-3 Airways cargo both inside and outside the aircraft (at rest). Includes FS2002 lights fix by Paul Pridmore. Default panel and sound. Repaints by Mark Beaumont.
