FSX FIXES/IMPROVEMENTS for my previously released Douglas C-117D repaint
textures for privately owned red and white N5739Y (FSX_Douglas_C-117D_Private_Red-White_N5739Y.zip), for the freeware
Manfred Jahn and team Douglas C-117D (c117d_v1_beta.zip), which you must
have previously installed in FSX. Numerous adjustments to mismatched paint,
various anomolies, texture offsets, etc. in the wing leading edges, de-icer boots,
wingtips, glare shield (front vs.rear), starboard side problem between nose and
fuselage, space between inner and outer deicer boots, etc. Most were small and
hardly noticable, some were sticking out like a sore thumb and rather embarrassing
in hindsight (sorry). Belly pods repainted from gloss black to flat black (matching
the paint on the glare shield for better visual harmony). Gray rear tip of fuselage
located and painted red to match. Gray prop hubs painted for better visual appeal
and 'balance' with painted spinners. Antenna above cockpit repainted to match. And
alpha channels added for improved reflections. Very simple installation, just delete
the old texture folder and replace it with this new one. Repaint by Tom Tiedman.

Re-upload. FSX/FS2004 DDA Douglas DC-4-1009 ZS-NUR/PH-DDS. This aircraft originally flew with South African Airways from 1946 till 1966, and a short interlude from 1968 till 1970, as ZS-AUA 'Tafelberg'. From 1966 till 1995 the DC-4 flew as a transport and later an electronics warfare aircraft with the South African Air Force, called 'Spook'. Its registration was 6901. In 1995 the aircraft was sold to Aero Air (Pty) Ltd as ZS-NUR. In 1995 the Dutch Dakota Association (DDA) purchased the ZS-NUR, christened 'Skymaster'. The DC-4 arrived at Amsterdam-Schiphol on 5 May 1996. In 1997 she was re-registered PH-DDS. Due to the extremely tight regulations in the Netherlands, the DC-4 returned to South Africa in 2002 as ZS-AUA on long-term lease, first to Springbok Flying Safaris, later on to Rovos Air where she is still current (2008). These are textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's great Douglas DC-4 & C-54 (dc4_v21.zip). Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaints by Maarten Brouwer.

FS2004 Scenery-Millard Airport (KMLE) serves Omaha and Douglas County and is owned by Omaha Arpt Authority. The paved runway extends for 3800 feet. The facility is at an elevation of 1050 feet at a distance of about 7 miles from Omaha. Dynamic scenery via Lago's FSE. Rwy12 and EZ Scenery along with FSDS3 also used. Douglas DC-3-194B Viewmaster of Airlines of New South Wales, Australia. VH-ANR had a long and interesting history. It was originally delivered to the Netherlands for KLM. Based on Jan Visser's legendary DC-3 model for FS2000, updated for FS2002, this model includes transparent Viewmaster windows, nightlighting, lit 3D interior with opening passenger door, boarding ladder and other details. Includes FS2002 lights fix by Paul Pridwales. Default panel and sound. Repaint by Mark Beaumont.

Re-upload. CFS2/Douglas A-24B 50 "Banshee" SN 42-54450 USAAF, 8th Bomb Group. Port Moresby, New Guinea July 1944. The pilot of this aircraft was Capt. J.J. Sanders who went down on July 29, 1944 in a bombing run over Burma. Painted over Scott Johnson's (The B24 Guy) A-24 model. The A-24 was the Army's version of the Navy's SBD2 Dauntless. Resource for this paint taken from a photo by Warcry Publications.

This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of 43-15073 Snafu Special. A WWII veteran that took part in the Normany landings, and can currently be seen at the Merville Battery in Normandy. MOre information can be found here: http://www.the-snafu-special.com/index.php. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 version 3.14, based on the paintkit by Gman5250.

File Description:
This package offers a modification to the "hard to steer" Douglas DC-3. The DC-3 relies on differential braking and power to taxi properly. This package is for those pilots without dual throttle controls. It uses the rudder deflection to apply proportional differential power under the appropriate circumstances. Documentation is included. It will work with the Default Microsoft DC-3, the C-47 by Beaumont & Bitzer (shown), or other twin engine tail draggers that are hard to steer.

The real repaint (textures only) for Manfred Jahn's (+ the Team) model of Douglas C-47/DC-3 (Skytrain/Dakota). You need to have this great model of Douglas_C-47_V3 (V3 Beta). Textures tested in P3Dv3. The repaint of Dakota Mk.III (C-47A) named "Spirit of Ostra Brama" (FD547) used by main commander of Polish forces general Kazimierz Sosnkowski (pilot Lieutenant Jozef Tyszko, No.216 Transport Bomber Squadron). Used in 03-08.1944. Italy. RAF, the crew from Poland.
