This repaint package has been produced from a wealth of available imagery that is available to view freely on the internet. Each individual aircraft has been repainted and details such as windows placement, logo/title placement and variances in doors have been reproduced with extreme accuracy. All Everts Air Cargo and Everts Air Fuel individual aircraft have been covered (14). This file does require previous installation of the original DC6-B aircraft from Calclassics (www.calclassic.com) See included readme file for details. Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-6 - repainted by Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-6 base pack with model, sound and panel from the website calclassic.com.
These textures depict HC-ARK "El Pinguino" (c/n 42865) of Americana de Aviacion. This Ecuadorian Company leased and later bought this plane in 1968 and used it, among others, for flights to the Galapagos Islands.
This DC-6 was the 13. built and originally delivered 1947 to American Airlines as "Flagship Texas" renamed later "Flagship South Carolina". American AL sold her 1960 to Aerolineas Peruanas as OB-OAD-545. From 1964 onwards she was in the hands of some U.S.leasing companies and goes then to Americana of Ecuador. They used the plane until 1970 and then it was broken up at Quito after 1975.
The Lettering "DC-6 EQUIPADO CON RADAR" should be on the nose wheel doors, but unfortunately this is not possible at this FS model. So I put the text on the lower bow near the nose wheel bay.

This folder contains a repaint for the Douglas DC-6 by PMDG for MSFS2020, in the colors of DC-6 c/n 43128-135. ZK-BGC, in the colors it wore while flying for Tasman Empire Airways, the predecessor to Air New Zealand. between 1954 and 1960, when it went to the New Zealand Air Force.
Repaint by JanKees Blom, based on the paintkit by PMDG.

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) of the MAAM-SIM DC-3. You must have the payware MAAM-SIM R4D/DC-3 to use these textures. The original aircraft is available at http://www.maam.org/.
This represents East-West Airlines DC-3 VH-EWE. It was ex USAAF C-47-DL 41-18646, c/n 6007 and had previously served TAA as VH-AER. Purchased by East-West Airlines as VH-EWF in 1955. It was re-registered as VH-EWE in 1958.

File Description:
This sound.cfg replaces the one uploaded in August 2008. Both the interior and exterior sounds have been improved. Please replace the sound.cfg you already downloaded by this new one. In my search for a good sound for the Douglas DC-6/-6A/-6B/-6C, XC-112A/YC-112A, VC-118, the C-118A/R6D-1 series and the Canadair C-5, I struck on the fabulous soundpack for the beautiful Douglas A-26 Invader of Milton Shupe and the Sim-Outhouse Team, made by David C. Copley. Most of the wav-files in this soundpack are recordings of the Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp R-2800 engines of an A-26 Invader. Having studied the Invaders sound pack, I discovered that by ‘tweaking’ the sound.cfg, particularly with regard to the exterior sounds, it became possible to develop a good exterior DC-6 sound (4 engines). No changes were made to the wav-files, as I didn’t want to modify them; the
wav-files just sound wonderful. In order to make your system reproduce the DC-6 sound, first download from www.sim-outhouse.com the great Douglas A-26 Invader package and enjoy flying that plane. Then copy the sound pack of the A-26 to the DC-6, and replace the existing sound.cfg by the revised one you just downloaded. This DC-6 sound has been tested in FS2004 only. Special thanks to David C. Copley who gave his permission to upload the modified sound.cfg as freeware, with limited distribution, at Sim-Outhouse.com and Avsim.com. Many thanks also to Milton Shupe and to Wayne Tudor for his advise. Author of the original sound pack: David C. Copley. Modified sound.cfg: Maarten Brouwer.
