This repaint is for the default FSX DC-3 showing 7Q-YKM in early Air Malawi colours. QM inherited 7Q-YKM from Central African Airways in 1964 when CAA split up, and was one of two Daks that formed the backbone of Air Malawi's early fleet.

| Douglas VC-118-DO 'The Independence' |

File Description:
This Douglas VC-118-DO was the personal aircraft of President Harry S. Truman. It was named 'The Independence' after President Truman's home town in Missouri. The aircraft was delivered on 1 July 1947 and served from 4 July 1947 on as a presidential aircraft till 1953 when Gen. Dwight Eisenhower became President of the USA. It seems that the rather special paint job was based on an idea by President Truman himself. 46-0505 served on as a general VIP transport till 1966 when it was donated to the Smithonian Institute for preservation. It is on loan to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.'The Independence' could accommodate for 24 day or 12 sleeper passengers (in the main cabin). It had a luxurious State Room aft of the passenger door. Usually there was a crew of eight. It is featured here in its original tan, blue and metal livery. You will require Jens B. This package contains two repaints for Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 V3.0. One repaint represents Resort Airlines' C-54A (modified to DC-4 standard) N65142 while on lease to Slick Airways from 1 July 1959 till 30 June 1960 for military charter flying (Logair) for the U.S. Goverment. After having returned to Resort Airlines she was placed in open storage at Oakland, CA. The other repaint represents the same aircraft in her British ferry markings she carried in July 1961. Around 1961-62 five ex-Resort C-54s which had been stored at Oakland for some time, ranging from several months to 6 years, were rescued by Aviation Traders (of Southend and Stansted, England) from the scrapdealer's axe and converted to ATL.98 Carvair car-ferry and cargo aircraft. N65142, which was in a very poor condition after her Logair period of minimal maintenance and repeated overloading, as well as the abuse by the elements during the open air storage close to sea water, was one of these lucky birds.

| Douglas C-54E Cargomaster Ansett-ANA |

File Description:
Featured is a C-54E built for the USAAF which, after having been struck off, was modified to DC-4 standard and sold to Pan American World Airways. In 1958 the aircraft was sold to Japan Air Lines. In March 1965 Ansett-ANA purchased the aircraft for use as "Cargomaster" freighter VH-INM. In 1968 the aircraft was converted to Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvair (the final conversion) and returned on 19 July 1968 to Ansett-ANA, still as VH-INM. These are textures only. You will need Jens Kristensen's FS2004 Douglas DC-4 & C-54 (DC4_V30.ZIP). Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

This aircraft, based on the Guidonia's Airport, belonged to "Reparto Volo"(flying group) of the Rome Zone's Air Force Command (Comando 2a Regione Aerea) during 60'.This textures set in "Aeronautica Militare Italiana" (Italian Air Force).
Livery requires the beautiful C-47 (V2) package by Manfred Jahn and team (Douglas_c-47_v2.zip). Installation instructions are included. By Manuele Villa, July 2014.

This folder contains a repaint for the Douglas C-117D by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-117D RP-C473 of Soriano Air Cargo of the Philippines, around 1991 (Ex-USAAF 42-23894, c/n 43327, USN BuNo 12443, Aero Union N5597T and Intercoastal Air Ways N873SN), It was later sold to Mabuhay Airlines, also in the Philippines. On 30 august 1999, it was to be flown to Manila for a lease to Crown Cargo Express when it struck power lines. The aircraft crashed into a rice field. Luckily none of the 9 people on board were injured, but the aircraft was a write-off. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the metal textures by Gman5250 and the blank textures by Manfred Jahn.

This folder contains a repaint for P3Dv4.5 PBR version of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of NC91008, a DC-3 that flew with Alaska Airlines between 1948 and its crash in Alaska in 1954. The Museum of Flight in Seattle has DC-3 N138D on display, but painted as NC91008. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 for P3Dv4.5, with PBR, Rivet and bump detail by Ted (Tufun) Wolfgang.
