File Description:
Formed at Norwich Airport in 1969 by Anglian Air Charter and Norfolk Airways to provide air support flights for oil companies prospecting in the North Sea. In November 1969 they took delivery of a DC-3 which was used on ad-hoc charter flights from Norwich. In August 1970 Rig-Air became a part of Air Anglia Ltd. The formation of this airline had been announced in July, merging Anglian Air Charter, Norfolk Airways and Rig-Air together. Requires the default Douglas DC-3.

| Silver City Airways, Douglas DC-3 |

File Description:
Silver City Airways was registered as a British company in November 1946. It was named after a nickname of the town of Broken Hill, Australia associated with the companies owners the Zinc Corporation and commenced operations using Lancastrian aircraft. DC-3's were added to the fleet for shorter range charter flights. Initially managed and administered by British Aviation Services who eventually bought Silver City in the 50's. British Aviation Services also owned Air Kruise, Lancashire Aircraft Corporation and Manx Airlines. Some of Silver City Airlines DC-3 were transferred to Air Kruise between 1953 and 1958 and thereafter were repainted back to Silver City Airways livery. In 1962 British Aviation Services was taken over by Air Holdings, the parent company of British United Airways. By the end of 1962 all Silver City aircraft had either been repainted into British United colours or retired from service and the name ceased to be used. Over the years Silver City owned or leased over twenty DC-3's but few photos exist. This set of repaints depict seven of those aircraft. Requires default Douglas DC-3.

c/n 45531/1015 Delivered to Hunting Clan Air Transport on August 7th 1958 as G-APNO and then to British United on July 1st 1960. Sold to Air Ferry in December 1965 then to and Balair as HB-IBS and is still active with Conair as C-GIBS.

c/n 45326/803. Delivered to Canadian Pacific in April 1957 as CF-CZS. From 1962 to 1964 it was leased to British United Airways and registered as G-ARXZ. Later sold to Greenlandair as OY-DRM and then Air Atlantique as G-SIXA. Scrapped in April 1985 at Manston.

File Description:
Wenela got its name from the Witwatersrand Native Labour Association, which provided laborers for the South African mining industry. They were formed in 1952 with Africair as the operating company using DC-3's. Wenela was based and maintained its aircraft at Francistown and stopped operating in 1978. 42-72273 (c/n 10378/DC109). Bought TF-ISE from Icelandair on 22 March 1958 and registered as ZS-CJA. Reregistered March 1961 to Wenela Rhodesia as VP-YSS. Reregistered October 1968 to Wenela Botswana as A2-ZES. Sold to Agence et Messageries Aeriennes du Zaire (AMAZ) on 17 May 1977 registered as 9Q-CAN. Textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's Douglas DC-4 model (DC4_V30.ZIP). Repaint by Andre Reimers.

File Description:
Douglas C47-B-DK c/n 33257. Purchased from Hunting Aviation in 1953 where it was registered as G-ANAS. Transfered to Wenela Rhodesia as VP-YSM then A2-ZEM. Sold to African Air carriers as ZS-KIV. It is probably the only DC-3 in the world to have suffered the most accidents and be rebuilt, it had survived no less than three landing accidents, one collision with a tree and two serious fires. One of the fires virtually destroyed the whole cockpit! The cockpit section from the original ZS-DCA, which had been abandoned at Lourenco Marques (Maputo) in 1975, was stitched on to this aircraft after one accident in the early 1990's. It finally crashed on landing in 2005 in the DRC at Kilembwe and remains there, untouched, as it is now trapped in a mine field. It was on a routine flight for Wimbidira Airways and was registered as 9Q-CWI. Prior installation of Manfred Jahn's outstanding FS2004 Douglas C-47 Base Pack (c-47_basepack_fs9.zip) is required. c/n 43217 delivered to Linee Aeree Italiane (LAI) on 10 May 1950 and registered as I-LOVE. Merged with Alitalia in October 1957 and re-registered in September 1958 as I-DIMT. Leased by CAA in 1963 and returned in 1966. Sold to Aeronautica Militare Italia in 1966 and registered as MM61923. Withdrawn from use in July 1980. Textures only. Prior installation of the Douglas DC-6B CB-16 and DC-6 by Tom Gibson and Greg Pepper at California Classic Propliners is required. Repaint by Andre Reimers.
