This folder contains a repaint for the Douglas C-117D by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-117D N306SF (cn 43393) Skyfreighters, 1985. The aircraft was delivered to the USAAF as C-47A-30-DL, 42-23758 with C/N 9620. To the USN as R4D-5 BuNo 12437 then rebuilt to R4D-8. Became C-117D when designations standardized in 1962. Other civil regns include N8538R and N44GH. Served with Blue Angels 1953-55. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on paintkit by Manfred Jahn.

This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of MATS 43-16062, which crashed at Isachsen weather station on Ellef Ringnes Island, Nunavut, Canada in 1949. This is a repaint of the Manfred Jahn DC-3 v3 in Somali Airlines colors. Somali began operations in 1964 and the DC-3s were their first aircraft. They operated a total of 4 DC-3s in the 1960s until the early 1970s. You need the freeware C-47 v3 (DC-3) by Manfred Jahn. This aircraft was tested on FSX-SE & P3D v3.

File Description:
The Douglas XC-47C Amphibian Transport is a free add-on for MAAM-SIM R4D/DC-3 CD owners. This download requires previous installation of that package before the self-installer will operate. This 1943 prototype was equipped with huge Edo 78 floats with retractable landing gear. It led to a handful of C-47's with field installed pontoons serving in the Pacific and Alaskan theaters. The R4D/DC-3 CD may be obtained from www.maam.org.

File Description:
FS2004. Texture sets only, requiring the base model of the GMAX MAAM-SIM R4D/DC-3 available from www.maam.org. Based on original textures by Jan Visser. Cargo Model. LADU-Colombia from Historic Airways (Breathing new live into old planes). Not much is know about LADU-Colombia, internet research listed some planes, but nothing on the airline itself. This plane (A Super DC-3) was left at the cargo ramp at Jose Maria Cordova (MDE / SKRG), Colombia (reasons unknown) and over the years is now overgrown. From the picture, it looks like the landing gear has been removed and now sits on blocks. Photo taken 27 July 2005.

File Description:
A free add-on for MAAM-SIM R4D/DC-3 CD owners requires a previous installation of that package in FS2004 before the self-installer will run. The photo-real model has many new features, including new engine textures, night-lit nacelles, 3-D propeller hub mechanisms, modern antennae array, and much more to duplicate the real OY-BPB. This aircraft, owned and operated by The Association for Flying Museums Planes/Danish Dakota Friends is based at Værløse, Denmark. The R4D/DC-3 CD may be obtained from www.maam.org. All sale proceeds support the restoration programs of the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum, Reading, PA.
