File Description:
This is an updated AFCAD file, based on the default scenery, for St Lucia's TLPL - Hewanorra International airport. The primary reason for updating the airport was to add larger bays to accomodate the many visiting heavy jets. But also in the process I have improved the general airport structure, including enhanced runway approaches, end of runway turning circles, and extra comm frequencies. British Airways is the main international operator.

When Guernsey Airlines was accquired by British Air Ferries A Herald and a Viscount were assigned as a temporary measure in an interim livery. G-AOYI was the Viscount. It was soon replaced by G-AOYG in a difinitive livery but it was all token. The Guernsey operation was quite extensive and used any of the parent fleet. This is a repaint and re-working, for FSX, of Ted Cook's Vickers Viking amphibian (originally made for FS9), another of Ted's excellent models from the byways of British aviation history. Koninklijk Nederlands Indisch Leger (KNIL) was The Royal Dutch East Indies Army (Air Force)and this repaint represents one of several Vikings exported for use in reconnaissance patrols over water and over islands in the South Pacific during the 1920s.
