This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D-10-NA 44-14771 YJ-L "Willit Run?" which flew with the 351st FS, 353rd FG from Raydon in the UK, with Maj Frederick LeFebre as its regular pilot. The P-51 is named “Willit Run?â€, but the nose art on this plane is not talking about this particular aircraft or any P-51 for that matter. It’s an inside joke of WWII vintage.
During WWII, as in every big war, private industry is called upon to produce war goods rather than civilian goods – “guns vs. butterâ€. Henry Ford took on a huge project to contract-build Consolidated B-24 Liberator bombers in a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to be built on a farm which Henry Ford owned at Willow Run near Detroit. The facility was to be a prime example of Roosevelt’s “Arsenal of Democracyâ€, conceived and built on an unprecedented scale. Begun in April, 1941, it was the largest enclosed room in the world, with 3.5 million square feet. But Willow Run had a long and troubled construction and start-up time. So long and troubled a start-up, that after two years with little results the public became disillusioned with the project and derisively nicknamed the plant “Willit Run?â€.
Ford persevered however, and Willow Run finally hit its stride, eventually producing at the prodigious rate of 650 B-24 bombers per month by August, 1944. At war’s end, Willow Run had produced about half of the 18,000 B-24's which saw service in the war.

| The Hawaiian Islands - Kauai, Part 1 of 5 |

File Description:
The complete scenery package is 446MB in size. In order to accommodate AvSim's file size requirement, this scenery has been broken into five smaller files. However, all five files -- Hawaii-Kauai-RS-01.zip through Hawaii-Kauai-RS-05.zip -- are necessary for this scenery to work properly. My apologies in advance for the added complexity this involves. "Hawaii-Kauai-RS-01" includes a ReadMe with detailed instructions on how to install this scenery.
Kauai itself is the fourth largest of the main Hawaiian Islands. Also known as the "Garden Isle" due to it's lush tropical foliage, it is located about 105 miles (170 kilometers) west of Oahu and just to the east of tiny Niihau. The east side of Mount Wai'ale'ale is considered to be one of the wettest spots on earth receiving an average annual rainfall of 460 inches (1,200 cm). All that water has carved out deep valleys in the central mountains, the most scenic of which is Waimea Canyon, often referred to as "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific". From shoreline cliffs to mountainous heights, to pristine beaches, enjoy exploring this picture postcard perfect landscape.

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (NATO reporting name "Fishbed") is developed in the Soviet Union interceptor. Already in 1959 put into service, the MiG-21 is the most produced combat aircraft since World War II and the most numerous jet aircraft ever, with about 11,000 copies. With more than 50 years of production, it is also the longest-built fighter aircraft around the world and stood at about 50 Air Force on four continents. It also makes Aircraft with more than 20 versions in four generations. Among other things, the legendary single-seat variant of MiG-21 MF and two-seat variant of the MiG-21 US. Also be produced in the People's Republic of China today MiG-21 variants, known as the J-7. Even today, includes some 500 MiG-21 and more than 1000 J-7 / F-7 (Chinese copies) to the inventory of the Air Force in the world. This package contains two repaints for Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 V3.0. One repaint represents Resort Airlines' C-54A (modified to DC-4 standard) N65142 while on lease to Slick Airways from 1 July 1959 till 30 June 1960 for military charter flying (Logair) for the U.S. Goverment. After having returned to Resort Airlines she was placed in open storage at Oakland, CA. The other repaint represents the same aircraft in her British ferry markings she carried in July 1961. Around 1961-62 five ex-Resort C-54s which had been stored at Oakland for some time, ranging from several months to 6 years, were rescued by Aviation Traders (of Southend and Stansted, England) from the scrapdealer's axe and converted to ATL.98 Carvair car-ferry and cargo aircraft. N65142, which was in a very poor condition after her Logair period of minimal maintenance and repeated overloading, as well as the abuse by the elements during the open air storage close to sea water, was one of these lucky birds.

On 13 December 1966 the Dutch charter company Martinair Holland (MAC), proud owner of a fleet of four Douglas C-47, a Douglas C-54B, two Convair 640, and four Douglas DC-7C aircraft, bought a Douglas DC-6A registered PH-MAM. The DC-6A, which at one time belonged to KLM and could transport 11 tons payload or 97 passengers, was aquired in order to replace the smaller C-54B PH-MAE. It was a very popular aircraft among crew and passengers alike. From the late October 1968 till the beginning of January 1970, PH-MAM flew on the Biafra airlift from the island of Fernando Po to Uli airstrip to provide humanitarian aid, on behalf of the Dutch Red Cross. Having returned from this mission, the aircraft was overhauled and used by Martinair for one more year, before being sold to Yugoslavia. These are textures only. You will need California Classic's FS2004/FSX Douglas DC-6B CB-16 Base Pack, DC-6A CB-17 Base Pack and DC-6A CB-16 Base Pack (available at http://www.calclassic.com/dc6b.htm). File Description: The VLA or "Jansky Array", managed by the National Radio Astronomy
Observatory (NRAO) consists of 27 independent radio telescope dishes, each with
a diameter of 82 feet and weight of over 200 tons. Each antenna is found along
the three arms of a track shaped in a Y configuration measuring 13 miles long.
Using the rail tracks that follow each of these arms the antennas can be
physically relocated to a number of prepared positions. At one point, the arms
intersect with U.S. Route 60 which passes right through the middle of the array.
It has been featured in numerous films, such as Armageddon, Independence Day,
Terminator Salvation, a Bon Jovi music video, and was featured most prominently
-and correctly- in the Carl Sagan novel Contact, as well as the film of the same
name. Also updated is the closest airport to the VLA - Magdalena, NM - N29. It's
a small dirt strip a few miles to the east, between Socorro and the VLA. It
serves as a nice staging area for flights to the VLA. Includes a helipad startup
location with NM99 ident. Scenery by Jason L. Terry. For FSX Acceleration.

If you have ever driven an automobile addon in the FSX scenery, you may have felt
that a few things were missing. If so, try this addon ..... It adds a whole new driving experience.
This version is for Hama's BMW 760li visual model (not included), and adds:
- Accurate max speed, acceleration and braking, according to real-word specs.
- A transmission gearbox: 6-gear Forward, Neutral and Reverse.
- Manual and Automatic gear switching, with kickdown function.
- Revup/down sound, depending on engine RPM (so dependant on speed and transmission gear).
- Accurate steering, at low and high speeds. This includes a non-lineair control of the steering wheel and control axis assignments; both configurable via an .ini file.
- ABS, TractionControl and CruiseControl.
- Several coded "tricks", like: Spinning wheels and "doughnuts" at high throttle in 1st Gear, Drifting/spinning at high speed when steering angle too large, A visual/audible TireSmoke effect if the above applies, Brake lights.
- New engine-RPM and speed gauges.
- A horn (claxon) sound.
