A high spec AFCAD2 for the FS2004 Newark Liberty Int'l Airport (KEWR) scenery by Steve Whalin. This afcad has been built using FAA Charts and information from the Airport Website. All taxiways are named and all aprons are reworked to be as real as possible according to photos. All gates are named as per real life and have airlines assigned to them. The Fedex and UPS aprons are represented and can accomodate many cargo aircraft. The final addition is random GA parking and the CO maintenance area to the north of the airport. Overflow parking is also available for rush hour periods (Ball Park). This airport features a tower view and also night and approach lighting. Finally, by using the crosswind runway technique, runways 04L/22R, 04R/22L and 11/29 can all be used simultaniously for take-off and landing. Runway 11/29 will be mainly used by CO Express flights. The Airbus A330 is a twin-engined wide-body Airbus A340 and is a four-engined wide-body aircraft produced by AirbusIndustries. Both models have many features and components, and differ essentially only by the number of trie works. You are designed as long-haul aircraft. Both aircraft have modern turbofan engines with high bypass ratio and are the first Flight course with a modern fly-by-wire controls in a two-man cockpit. The first flight of 4 four-engine A340-300 version took place on 25 October 1991 and the twin-engine A330-300 version took place on 2 November 1992. Final assembly of the Airbus A330 and A340 in Toulouse by place on a street clock. As of July 2010 from the Airbus A330 were a total of 710 of 1092 aircraft ordered and delivered from the Airbus A340 delivered a total of 374 of 380 of the aircraft ordered, 369 of which are still in service are.

A new dual screen combined Pilot and First Officer panel for use with two panoramic displays. New Fokker 60 Flightdeck panel provides user with either a freeware Delco Inertial Navigation System or a Bendix/King Navigation Management system and allows for switching between Pilots and First Officers position. The panel configuration design is using a new approach to the operation of the aircraft from the Pilot and First Officer seat. Flying as a First Officer is set up such that the the instumentation and panel is presented on your Left panoramic screen. This is done to allow for a proper presentation of the runway while landing or taxiing. The panel size has been adjusted to be more in line with widescreen displays. Numerous additional changes have been introduced to make the panels more user friendly.
This flightdeck panel is based on the standard Fokker 60 payware version published by Precisionaerobus and installation of this Fokker aircraft in your Flightsim program is a prerequisite as Pecisionaerobus original gauges are not provided with this file.

Featured is Forca Aerea Portuguesa 4626, ex-US Navy BuNo 37406, Lockheed c/n 15-1272. The FAP operated 42 PV-2s and PV-2D's under MDAP (Mutual Defense Assistance Program) from 1952 on in Portugal and its colonies in Africa where they were serving in a variety of rules. The FAP went into Portugal's colonial war already before the first two regular battalions of the Portuguese Army were disembarked in Luanda, on 1 May 1961. Reaching back on three already obsolete PV-2 Harpoon liaison and patrol aircraft, equipped as make-shift bombers (and later formed into Esquadra 91), and P2V-5 Neptunes, the FAP flew a number of attack sorties against various rebel concentrations. Throughout the COIN war, which ended in 25 April 1974 by a coup d'etat in Portugal, the Harpoon played a significant role. The end of the war marked the end of the Harpoon era in Portugal. You will require Milton Shupe and Team's FS2004 or FSX Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon (harpfs9v13.zip resp. harpfsxv13.zip). Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

Featured is Royal Netherlands Navy 19-10, ex-US Navy BuNo 37260, Lockheed c/n 15-1226. VSQ320 at Valkenburg operated 18 PV-2s under MDAP (Mutual Defense Assistance Program) from September 1951 till December 1953, when they were replaced by Lockheed P2V-5 Neptunes. The Harpoons were not only used for maritime reconnaissance during their short career in Dutch service. Search and rescue was another main task, and particularly in February 1953 during the tidal flooding of the Southwest of the Netherlands they played a vital role in the rescue and supply operations (food for people and live stock, empty sandbags, etc.). 19-10 served from 29 September 1951 till 16 November 1953 with VSQ320 and then till June 1954 with VSQ8 (Search and Rescue). Like her 17 sister ships she then moved to the Portuguese Navy. You will require Milton Shupe and Team's FS2004 or FSX Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon (harpfs9v13.zip resp. harpfsxv13.zip). Simple Instructions for Modifying Land Class
Land classification, or land class (NOT "landclass"), is how Flight Simulator depicts the ground textures. For much of the FS world, the ground is not representative of the real thing, however. There have been complaints because of this from those who do not understand the cause of the problem.
This document explains the basic concepts behind the land class system, why it is inevitably inaccurate for most of the world, and the very easy-to-use tools with which to fix this.
Also includes instructions for modifying water class.
This is an html document for universal compatibility.
You do not have to be a computer programmer in order to change the land class. Anyone can do it quickly and easily.
So, why complain about it? Do something!

File Description:
This Douglas VC-118-DO was the personal aircraft of President Harry S. Truman. It was named 'The Independence' after President Truman's home town in Missouri. The aircraft was delivered on 1 July 1947 and served from 4 July 1947 on as a presidential aircraft till 1953 when Gen. Dwight Eisenhower became President of the USA. It seems that the rather special paint job was based on an idea by President Truman himself. 46-0505 served on as a general VIP transport till 1966 when it was donated to the Smithonian Institute for preservation. It is on loan to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.'The Independence' could accommodate for 24 day or 12 sleeper passengers (in the main cabin). It had a luxurious State Room aft of the passenger door. Usually there was a crew of eight. It is featured here in its original tan, blue and metal livery. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's great FSX Douglas DC-6 (early version) (dc6_v20x.zip). Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

Sukhoi Su-27 aircraft for FS2004 - This File is a COMMERCIAL DEMO!!
The Sukhoi Su-27 is a one-seat Mach-2 class jet fighter originally manufactured by the Soviet Union, and designed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau. The Su-27's basic design is aerodynamically similar to the MiG-29, but it is substantially larger. It is a very large aircraft, and to minimize its weight its structure has a high percentage of titanium (about 30%, more than any of its contemporaries). No composite materials were used. The swept wing blends into the fuselage at the leading edge extensions and is essentially a delta, although the tips are cropped for wingtip missile rails or ECM pods. The Su-27 is not a true delta, however, because it retains conventional tailplanes, with two vertical tailfins outboard of the engines, supplemented by two fold-down ventral fins for additional lateral stability..
