File Description:
Cervantes, Western Australia is located 247kms north of Perth and is the gateway to Australia's Coral Coast. Established in 1962 and named after an American whaling ship wrecked off the coast in 1844, Cervantes is a small but growing fishing town. Cervantes is also in close proximity to the Nambung National Park and the Pinnacles Desert. Many families from Perth enjoy the close proximity of Cervantes to Perth for weekend getaways. File Description:
YWKM Wyalkatchem is at the centre of Western Australia's wheat belt, about 200 kilometres North-East of Perth. The town is thought to have been named after the Wyalkatchem Tank which was built by sandalwood cutters in 1881. Wyalkatchem is in some of Western Australia's best wildflower country. If you haven't flown over Wyalkatchem recently, you will notice the raw freshly graded surface and new strip,
recently upgraded under Regional Airports Development Scheme. Due to the tight budget of the state funded strip, taxiways, line marking and lighting of the new strip are not completed. Requires Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip.

| YMHL Mount Holland Mine (closed), Western Australia |

File Description:
YMHL Mount Holland Mine (closed) - Convergent Minerals Limited. Bounty Gold Mine at Mount Holland was discovered by Aztec Exploration in 1985. The annual evaporation in this area is more than double the rainfall so it is a very dry and hardy location. Mining commenced in 1988 and was completed in 2002 producing 1.2 million ounces of Gold. Further exploration indicates the possibility of expanding the resource and Convergent Minerals have recently aquired the nickel rights. The board has commissioned a desk top study into recommencing mining and gold production at the Bounty Project. REQUIRES Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip

This is an upgrade of the previous release of FABW. Because of its strategically geographical important position, this small Airport is becoming more popular, especially with pilots of smaller aircraft. As a stopover, refuelling point between Cape and the Northern Provinces, East and West, its popularity is growing by the day. The airport Manager and his wife who offers B&B as well as a beautiful night out at "the gateway to the Karoo" as they call it, see to a splendid and enjoyable open and star filled overnight for those who care to call. Runway lights are also available. Please install fsxWorx01.zip, and the updates before this scenery.

File Description:
Land class for Southern Africa, consist of Land class tiles for most parts of Southern African countries south of the Equator. The Land class for Southern Africa was created by using Satellite imagery and knowledge of the area and then applying the nearest suitable LC tile to that area.
To get the best results from this update it will be advisable to download the latest Detailed Terrain Features for Southern Africa of Aeroworx (also available in the AVSIM Library - starting with file fsxWorx01.zip).
This scenery is important and will be needed with release of future scenery by Aeroworx.

The first European operator of the Douglas DC-6 was the Belgian airline Sabena. The first of five DC-6s, which was registered OO-AWA (see Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-6 (dc6_v20x.zip)), was delivered on 15 July 1947. It was introduced on the Brussels-New York service in August 1947. Of course theDC-6s also operated on the Brussels-Leopoldville (now Kinshasa) route, the "lifeline" to the former Belgian colony Congo. From 1953 on they were joined by nine slightly larger DC-6Bs and one DC-6A. Except for OO-AWB which crashed in 1955, the "short" DC-6 had a remarkably long career with Sabena, incl. being leased to Air Congo. The last example was sold in 1965. Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

At 4:30 A.M. on May 10, 1940, three Junkers Ju 52's took off from the Cologne airfields of Ostheim and Butzweilerhof, towing behind them three other aircraft that lacked motors. The first front service of a new weapon, the freight glider, developed by the DFS (Deutsche Forschungsanstalt fur Segelflug / German Research Institute for Sailplane Flight), had begun. A total of 41 DFS-230 freight gliders with 400 paratroopers were launched for this mission. It was their task to take the Belgian Fort Eben Emael near Maastrich. With this successful operation the crossing of the Albert Canal was secured and the cornerstone of Belgian defense fell in German hands.
These assault gliders were also used during the Krete invasion (1941). The DFS 230's last significant use was during the 'Eichen' operation: 10 assault gliders were used to deliver the group of hand picked commandos led by Otto Skorzeny against the Gran Sasso mountain-top hotel that was used to hold Mussolini. The Royal Italian Air Force (Regia Aeronautica) received from Luftwaffe, during 1941, almost 20 DFS-230 and 4 Gotha Go-242 assault gliders. These aircrafts were used only for pilot training until 09/1943.
