Streamlined panel for Grumman Goose G-21

File Description:
This panel streamlines the cockpit and virtual cockpit (VC) views in Lynn and Bill Lyons' Grumman Goose G-21 (cc9g21f2.zip). Why mess with perfection, you might ask? I like the Goose a lot: it's elegant, versatile, and has great views for VFR sightseeing. But on my system, the virtual cockpit's a bit sluggish. There's nothing wrong here with the airplane: it's just what happens when you try to run a complex piece of software on old hardware. Rather than give up, I decided to reduce the number of gauge objects, first in the cockpit (which I don't use very much anyway) and then in the virtual cockpit (which is where you should be flying this great old bird anyway). I also eliminated some of the hotspots. With fewer gauge objects, there are more system resources left over for the sim. The result, on my system, is smoother flying. While I was at it, I also replaced the magnetic compass with a VOR gauge. I know that's unrealistic, but that's what I did.

VTOL/Hover gauge for DSB/IRIS' Harrier

File Description:
This freeware gauge adds VTOL & Hover features to the DSB/IRIS Harrier. Besides true vertical takeoff&landing, it allows you to fly forward, backward, sideways and turn, while in a hover. This solution is based on overriding the normal FS flightdynamics while in a hover, simular to the implementation of catapult launch / cable arrest in my Carrier Operation Package; in short, it's a VTOL&Hover FDE coded in a gauge. Special thanks to Doug Dawson, who created a gauge that provides for overriding FS2004 variables from an XML gauge. Requires prior installation of the DSB/IRIS Harrier (payware) and FSUIPC (registered or unregistered). The README includes extensive installation and flying instructions. By Rob Barendregt.

Railroad "Under" textures for Ultimate Terrain v1.2

File Description:
The textures are for UT Canada/Alaska 1.2. These textures will greatly reduce the width of the underlay of Ultimate Terrain enhanced railroad tracks which I feel are too wide. Be aware that these changes will also affect the look of the divided Highways.

"Traffic View Board" Updated files for v3

File Description:
This is the third update for the excellent Traffic View Board by Arnt Helge Haland. The airlines file is a bit older and I added many airlines with their callsigns and ICAO/IATA codes which I was missing while using this wonderful tool. I also added the new airports VTBS - Bangkok (Thailand) and RJGG - Nagoya (Japan). Read the readme.txt carefully for more needful information.

Instrument Approach plate for Auke Lake, Alaska

File Description:
This is an NDB approach for those interested in the ability to get into Auke Lake, Alaska, which, is not currently served by an instrument approach (IAP). This is a small lake, located nearby Juneau International airport, which has a number of private floatplanes based at it. The area is a very mountainous region and with an NDB station nearby, it would be a shame not to be able to get in when the weather goes down.
