Central African Airways (CAA) was formed in 1946 and was the national carrier of the Central African Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland. It was headquartered in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia. In 1956 CAA operated 5 Douglas C-47's mainly as second line aircraft. In 1964 CAA established Air Malawi, Air Rhodesia and Zambia Airways as subsidiary airlines and in 1967 all CAA assets were divided among the three subsidiaries and CAA ceased to be an operator on 31 August 1967. Textures only. Prior installation of Manfred Jahn's outstanding FS2004 Douglas C-47 Base Pack is required. Repaint by Andre Reimers.

This V.748D (C/N 101) was built for CAA as VP-YND and first flew on Thursday, 14 June 1956. It was the first Viscount to visit Vnukovo, Moscow, USSR on 29 June 1956 and was sent to collect the British Industry delegation who had attended the Soviet Aviation day celebrations. R M A Mweru was passed on to Air Rhodesia when CAA was disolved in 1965. It was shot down by a 'Strella' heat seeking surface to air (SAM) missile after take off from Kariba, Rhodesia 12 February 1979. File Description:
CAA purchased their first Vickers Viscount 748D on 25th April 1956. A further four were delivered in the same year. The aircraft came equipped with external slipper tanks for long-range operations. In 1957 the Viscounts took over the international service to Europe from Vickers Vikings. All the Viscounts except VP-YNE passed on to Air Rhodesia when Central African Airways was disolved in 1965. This V.748D (C/N 99) was built for CAA as VP-YNB and first flew on Saturday, 5 May 1956 at Hurn, Bournemouth, Dorset, England powered by Rolls-Royce Dart 510 engines. c/n 45532/1025 Delivered to Hunting Clan Air Transport on September 11th, 1958 as G-APNP and then to British United on July 1st 1960. Sold to Air Ferry in December 1965 then to and Balair as HB-IBT. On May 7th, 1969, HB-IBT crashed at Uli airstrip, Nigeria. Textures only. Prior installation of the Douglas DC-6A CB-17 and DC-6A CB-16 by Tom Gibson and Greg Pepper at California Classic Propliners is required. (http://www.calclassic.com)

FLEDViewer for FU3 Version 3.0. This is FLEDViewer version 3.0, tested/rebuilt for Win7 and all other Windows.
You can open model files .mod created by FLED in FU3 with up to 4000 model entries.
You can create TAB separated lists of the models.
You can edit x,y,z coordinates of models and even move the full set to a new location.
Most important feature is the unchecking of model entries that will remove it from the file at save.
This will help when corrupted models are in the file after FLED crashes. This files then will disturb FU3 and the bad entries can't be deleted using FLED, so do it with FLEDViewer

File Description:
Douglas C47-B-DK c/n 33257. Purchased from Hunting Aviation in 1953 where it was registered as G-ANAS. Transfered to Wenela Rhodesia as VP-YSM then A2-ZEM. Sold to African Air carriers as ZS-KIV. It is probably the only DC-3 in the world to have suffered the most accidents and be rebuilt, it had survived no less than three landing accidents, one collision with a tree and two serious fires. One of the fires virtually destroyed the whole cockpit! The cockpit section from the original ZS-DCA, which had been abandoned at Lourenco Marques (Maputo) in 1975, was stitched on to this aircraft after one accident in the early 1990's. It finally crashed on landing in 2005 in the DRC at Kilembwe and remains there, untouched, as it is now trapped in a mine field. It was on a routine flight for Wimbidira Airways and was registered as 9Q-CWI. Prior installation of Manfred Jahn's outstanding FS2004 Douglas C-47 Base Pack (c-47_basepack_fs9.zip) is required.
