The original XC-69 Prototype "The Beast" was purchased from Howard Hughes for $100,000 in 1950. Lengthened by 18ft 7 Inches, it became the prototype L-1049. Dressed up in special duds, the first flight occurred on 13 October 1950, and the rest is history. With a slightly different paint scheme, this aircraft was used by Lockheed as a test bed for future models, including the PO-2W / WV2. Original Aircraft by Team 1049 (Manfred Jahn, Roland Berger, Volker Boehme, Luis Pallas, Bill Tyne, and Stefan Werner), requires CalClassic L1049G. Repaint by Dan McManus

N6014C, c/n 2650, delivered on November 3, 1950 to Trans World Airlines and named "Star of Delaware", ship no. "814". In March 1967 withdrawn from use and stored at Kansas City. Purchased by Central American Airways on October 5, 1967 and reregistered N273R on October 23, 1967. Sold to World Wide Leasing Corporation on March 23, 1973. From July 1973 until October 22, 1974 leased to World Citizens International Travel Club "Miss America". On November 16, 1974 sold to CIM Associates Inc. and leased to Lanzar (Jersey) Ltd. in February 1976. Destroyed by fire in Lome, Togo, on October 22, 1977.

Re-upload. Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) Lockheed L-1011 Circa 1974. This livery graced the PSA one and only L-1011 in 1974. PSA was a very successful regional carrier in the southwest United States. They elected to purchase their first large capacity wide body aircraft for the lucrative LAX SFO run but after only one year of service un-expectly sold the TriStar. The L-1011 was considered by many experts to be 30 years ahead of its time. Production was halted after only 250 aircraft had been sold.

This is a fictional re-paint in National colors for the Aerosim L1011 TriStar model found in the Aerosim Classic liners volume 2.
As you might know National did favor the DC-10 Tri-Jet and never operated the Lockheed TriStar that I know of.
So I got an idea that I wanted to see the National livery on a TriStar and here it is for you to try out.
National was also known for naming their Aircraft so I named this repaint Trista.
This livery features:
* my new 1 and 3 engine nacelle textures with custom inlets as well
* Photo Real N-1 fan blade set
* PhotoReal rudder pedals for the VC cockpit
* a splash of night lighting on 1 and 3 engine nacellles
* 32 bit textures an no mips
