The Honoring Those Who Serve plane is dedicated to the brave men and women of the US military, as well as veterans of the armed forces and their families. Its unique exterior paint scheme, conceived by a small group of Alaska maintenance technicians, was designed to symbolize remembrance, pride, and appreciation. The design includes a red stripe and blue aircraft body to incorporate elements of the American flag; the phrase "Honoring Those Who Serve," displayed on the fuselage; a symbolic crest representing the Alaska Airlines Fallen Soldier Program to the right of the cargo door; and an "Alaska Airlines Salutes" medallion on the right of the boarding door near the nose of the aircraft, with five stars representing the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. The special livery was created in partnership with Boeing and is featured on two aircraft; N570AS, a 737-800, and sister ship N265AK, a 737-900.
Model developed by Tenkuu Developers Studio, features high resolution textures, dynamic flexing wings, nose gear steering, rudder lock, ground spoilers, low speed aileron locks at high speed, fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, trim animation, opening passenger doors, rolling wheels, animated thrust reversers with reverser block doors, detailed textures, full night lighting, ground service vehicles and more. Model design by Hiroshi Igami. Flight dynamics design by Nick Wilkinson, with assistance from David Biggar. Master textures and paint kit by Kyle Schurb. Textures only for the great TDS model. Enjoy!

Chance-Vought F-8 Crusader (Part 4). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this classic aircraft of modern military history.
This is an original 8-LOD model, with many animations and features thanks to a growing confidence in XML-coding and making FSDS work for me instead of the other way around.
Nicknamed "The Last Gunfighter", this aircraft was the last production aircraft for the US Navy and Marine Corps which used guns as primary armament, and was in service at the twilight of this age, as well as the dawn of the missile age. Like all combat-experience aircraft, it had a relatively short life during its operational use (only about twenty years or so as a fighter), but was used a little longer as a recce aircraft; and beyond that in export service to France and the Philippines. The Crusader was used extensively in combat operations in Vietnam, played a crucial role in the Cuban Missile Crisis, and gave the newer F-4 Phantoms a fair run for their money in terms of air combat capability during this time. It is interesting to note that the 'elderly' F-8 Crusader had a better kill overall ratio in air combat in Vietnam than its F-4 successor.
This is the fourth and final part of this model series, covering the export French F-8E(FN) and Philippine F-8P base models; with a total of 20 model options and 77 paints. Additionally, with this release I am including a universal PSD paint kit which will serve all variants. Base model and paint by Michael Pearson, flight dynamics by Michael McIntyre.

Textures for Lockheed R7V-1/C-121J by Team 1049 - Roland Berger, Volker Boehme, Manfred Jahn, Luis Pallas, Bill Tyne and Stefan Werner. Repainted by Manfred Meyer.
A working installation of the G and H Super Constellation packs (L1049H.ZIP, L1049GZIP and r7v-1.ZIP)is required, use the 1049vc_rf model for this textures!
This aircraft was built 1953 as a R7V-1 BuNo 131643 for US Navy (c/n 4144) and 1960 redesignated as C-121J. Serving whis the Point Mugu Missile Range it was known as the "Ole Blue from Point Mugu". 1974 withdrawn from use and stored at Davis Monthan, she was sold in May 1981 to William "Winky" Crawfords Northern Peninsula Fisheries Corp. and reg. N4247K for hauling salmon in Alaska. After modification work to civil freighter in 1987 the Connie went to World Fish & Agriculture Inc. Cold Bay Alaska, another Crawford Company. Now it was the plan to hauling thunafish from Palau Island to Nagoya in Japan. It was intend to carry 38 000 lbs of fish per trip but only 33 000 lbs were practial. But the contract could not be fullfiled because no high grade AVGAS was available at Nagoya. The aircraft has to carry return fuel in drums, which reduced the payload further to only 15 000 lbs.
Only a few roundtrips were flown in 1988 and then the Connie was impounted and stored at Manila apt. due to lawsuit actions with the contractors. She remains abandonded in open storage at Manila until 2014 as the Quantas Museum from Australia bought her in auction for spares.

A repaint for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of G-PBYA, originally ordered for the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Canso A amphibian, basically equivalent to the US Navy PBY-5A. It was built by Canadian Vickers at Cartierville, Quebec and was allocated their constructors number CV-283 before adopting the RCAF serial 11005. It was taken on charge by the air force on 27 October 1943 and initially saw service with 9 (Bomber Reconnaissance) Squadron at Bella Bella on the British Columbia coast between Vancouver and Prince Rupert. It was on their inventory from November to the following August. 9 Squadron had been based at Bella Bella for some time prior to the arrival of Cansos, having operated Supermarine Stranraers there. The Cansos were mainly operated from water despite their amphibious undercarriages and were used on day and night patrols, looking out for enemy submarines. By mid-1944, the threat of a Japanese invasion of Western Canada had receded and it was decided to disband 9 Squadron and close the station at Bella Bella. The Cansos, including 11005, were flown to Alliford Bay in the Queen Charlotte Islands, also in British Columbia, and transferred to 7 (BR) Squadron in August. The job was the same – anti-submarine patrols mostly – and 11005 remained with 7 Sqn until it too was disbanded on 25 July 1945. After a post-war career as transport and waterbomber, it was acquired by Plane Sailing in 2004, restored and repainted as a OA-10A of the USAAF. It is based in Duxford. | FSX North Korea DMZ, UGF and Ballistic Missile Base Addon Scenery Package |

I titled this a "DMZ, UGF and Ballistic Missile Base" scenery package because that's how this whole project started, but then it SNOWBALLED onto 80+ scenery areas for ALL of North Korea!
This package includes scenery AFCADs for 2 DMZ "Border Wall Areas", 8 DMZ SAM/EW radar sites (TacPack users can "spawn" SA-2s there!), 5 "secret" ballistic missile bases, two "secret" UnderGround Facility (UGF) locations like "TOPGUN 2", 5 navy bases/dockyards along the east coast, 2 nuclear facilities, 2 machine factories, and an Oil Refinery.
BUT WAIT! For the city of Pyongyang I added the Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant, the Pyongyang-Dong Power Plant, 2 power grid "sub stations" with SA-6 SAM sites, the Pyongyang rail yard, and the "VIP Airport" on the SE side of the city.
THERES MORE! (somebody STOP me!) I also did 23 fighter bases along with 12 helicopter bases (grass strips), and ALL of the fighter & helicopter bases have active runways, taxiways, and plenty of "Mil_Combat" parking available for AI aircraft.
For those who like "Carrier Ops", I put 4 "Naval Waypoints" off the coast of N Korea...2 in the Yellow Sea and 2 in the Sea of Japan. ALL FOUR have static aircraft carriers at their locations, or you can spawn/start an AI Carrier there instead!
Installation is SUPER easy and I've included instructions to install this SUPER-SIZED package as a stand-alone "Scenery Area" in your FSX Scenery Library. That way you can just click it on or off as needed, instead of clogging up your "Addon Scenery/Scenery" file with 200+ AFCAD files!

This is a repaint of the C-46 in Aerolineas Peruanas - APSA, 1966 colors. The freeware C-46 by Libardo Guzman and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. American C.W. Shelton, the owner of the Honduran carrier TAN (Transportes Aereas Nacionales), in association with two Peruvian nationals, founded Aerolineas Peruanas SA (APSA) in September 1956. Consequently, APSA began a C-46 international service from Lima (Peru) to Santiago de Chile via Autofagasta on June 17, 1957. By 1960, the company expanded its operations to Mexico City, and Panama City. Also in 1960 the CAB of the USA granted the rights to APSA to fly to Miami. However, before the rights were granted, the CAB forced C.W. Shelton to transfers his interest in APSA to Peruvian owners, as APSA was under "foreign interests" (ie. Shelton). Thus after this ruling, Shelton's airline changed hands and became a 77% owned Peruvian airline. The company entered the jet age with the delivery of its first convair 990 Coronado, which was leased, on 23 December 1963. South American expansion was undertaken in 1964 as services were launched to La Paz, Montevideo, and Asuncion. Eventually, Lima to London via Madrid and Paris flights were inaugurated during the spring of 1969 with a DC-8-52 leased from Iberia. Tragically, due to the high costs of its aircraft leases, the carrier encountered severe financial difficulties in 1970. Aditionally, the government, led by Juan Velasco Alvarado, refused to bail out APSA. Alvarado had plans to establish a state owned airline - AEROPERU, and APSA was standing in his way. Unable to overcome its massive $22-million debt, APSA ceased operations on May 3, 1971. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. Textures are 32bit bmp. It should work on FSX, P3D v1-3, & FS2004.

This is part one of this model series, covering the F-8A, F-8B, and F-8C base models; with a total of 16 model options and a staggering 65 individual squadron paints. I am fairly confident that if any operational squadron of the USN and USMC used this aircraft from the late 50s to the late 60s, it is covered here at some time frame. Subsequent releases will include the later USN/USMC models, as well as the French and Philippine exports. Extensive credits and instructions are in the documentation. INS Vikramaditya was commisioned into the Soviet Navy as Baku in 1988. It is the third and final remaining Kiev class carrier, the other two being Admiral Kuznetsov and Lioning. Like Lioning, Vikramaditya was purchased from Russia but that is pretty much where the similarity ends. The Chinese quietly bought Varyag under the guise that it would be converted into another floating hotel or casino as had been done several times in the past; then, almost to everyones surprise, they re-built and announced they had an aircraft carrier. India contracted with Russia to complete the refit which began an epic saga of international proportions that encompassed espionage, honey traps and logarithmically expanding budgets. Originally promised for 2008, the latest quotes expect delivery in October/November 2013.
I think the carrier looks very sporty or yacht-like, with the ski-jump bow and the oversized island which has been criticized for being too far into the middle of the deck; it is said to be India's final non-indigenous warship and future flagship to serve for the next 20 to 30 years.
This model is intended for placement with AI Carriers, by Lamont Clark. It has animated radars, working cables, catapults and deck lights. The IFLOS is calibrated, but the catapults will only activate if the airplane deploys a launch bar. The Vikramaditya uses retractable chocks to allow aircraft to develop full thrust, but I could not find a way to lock an aircraft to represent the STOBAR configuration without using catapults. I did not define the elevators because they do not operate and are in the middle of the deck. There are two ships included for escort, the INS Talwar and a Russian Fregat II class ASW destroyer. They have hard decks and night lighting, animated radars, funnel smoke, etc.

This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft PBY Catalina for FSX. It is shown here as C-FCRR, with Air France colors. Built by Boeing of Canada at Vancouver, it became RCAF Canso 9767 on March 4, 1943, and was allocated to Squadron 162, coded S, at Reykjavik, Iceland. In 1944, piloted by Flying Officers Thomas Charles Cooke and Eric Walter Wiskin, 9767 sank the German U-boat U-342 off the coast of Iceland on April 17. The amphibian was removed from the military service on April 1, 1946. The same year it was sold to Canadian Pacific Airlines, registered CF-CRR and assigned fleet number 233 (later 933), it was operated until 1959, thereafter by Northland Airlines (1960-1968), Midwest Airlines (1969-1970), and Ilford Riverton until 1973. The registration was changed to C-FCRR when Avalon Aviation acquired it as a water bomber in 1977, listed as Tanker number 791.
In 1995 the aircraft was bought by Powell Eorp. Of Parry Sound, Ontario, subsequently it was owned by the Canadian Air Legend. The French pilot Franklin Devaux bought C-FCRR in 1995 and converted it to a flying television studio, it was based at Le Bourget, Paris, France. During 1996 C-FCRR was the star of monthly French television programme Operation Okavango, while in September 1998 it was the eye catcher of the three-week Champs-Elysees (Paris) static air show. The following October the aircraft started an 8,078 mls (13,000 km) trip to Chile via Dakar (Senegal) and Natal (Brazil) to commemorate early Air France South Atlantic mail service, returning to France in June 1999. On January 19, 2002 the aircraft was stored at Orly Airport, Paris, and has not flown since. Its Canadian registration was cancelled on October 7, 2005.
