This folder contains a repaint for the freeware Grumman J2F 'Bad Duck'by Paul Domingue. It shows a Grumman J2F6 in a generic 3 tone US Navy scheme ntha was used during the latter years of WWII. Featured is Royal Netherlands Navy 19-10, ex-US Navy BuNo 37260, Lockheed c/n 15-1226. VSQ320 at Valkenburg operated 18 PV-2s under MDAP (Mutual Defense Assistance Program) from September 1951 till December 1953, when they were replaced by Lockheed P2V-5 Neptunes. The Harpoons were not only used for maritime reconnaissance during their short career in Dutch service. Search and rescue was another main task, and particularly in February 1953 during the tidal flooding of the Southwest of the Netherlands they played a vital role in the rescue and supply operations (food for people and live stock, empty sandbags, etc.). 19-10 served from 29 September 1951 till 16 November 1953 with VSQ320 and then till June 1954 with VSQ8 (Search and Rescue). Like her 17 sister ships she then moved to the Portuguese Navy. You will require Milton Shupe and Team's FS2004 or FSX Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon (harpfs9v13.zip resp. harpfsxv13.zip). | Douglas R4D-8 US Navy #17171 |

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Douglas C-117D by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of 17171 of the US Navy, which made an emergency landing in Iceland in 1973. On the 24th of november of that year, the Douglas R4D-8 17171 on route to Höfn à Hornafirði was forced to make an emergency landing at Sólheimasandur due to bad weather conditions at Höfn and low fuel. The landing was successful and the plane suffered no major damages. At the time the US navy was discontinuing it’s use of the Douglas C-47 and instead of repairing it, the plane was stripped of all valuables and abandoned in the black volcanic sand. Since then it’s been a favourite of photographers and adventure seeking tourists. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Gman5250.

This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of a C-47 in the colors of Aeronavale (French Naval Aviation) #36 of Escadrille 56S "Merou". It served as a flying classroom for electronics and mechanics of naval aviation from 1964 to 1983 on the BAN Nîmes Garons, and is currently being restored in the Netherlands. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 version 3.14, based on the paintkit by Gman5250.

This folder contains a repaint for P3Dv4.5 PBR version of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47 #36 of the French Navy (Aeronavale). Originally c/n9798 42-23936 it flew with the USAAF in North Africa and later in the ETO. It took part in D-Day, Market Garden and Operation Varsity, dropping parachutists. After WW2 it went to Ceskoslovenske Aeroline as OK-WDU and between 1958 and 1983 with the French navy as #36. It later went to Stellair and Transvalair in France as F-GEOM, before going to the UK as G-OFON with Classic Airways and later Air Atlantique. After a stint with South Coast Airways, it went to the Aviodrome in the Netherlands in 2006, where unfortunately it was left outside without protection. When the Aviodrome went bankrupt it went to Classic Wings, who are currently restoring it for static display in the Museum in Overloon. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 for P3Dv4.5, with PBR, Rivet and bump detail by Ted (Tufun) Wolfgang."

A repaint of the excellent MilViz King Air 350i in the colours of the Royal Navy. Known in military service as the Avenger T1, ZZ503 is a modified variant of the King Air 350ER (please excuse the artistic licence!) based at RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall, UK and is one of four examples on strength with 750 Naval Air Squadron, part of the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS). It is used to train pilots and observers for the Fleet Air Arm as well as Weapons Systems Operators for the Royal Air Force.
